Gvozdyk hits hard enough to put Adonis in a ****ing coma.Last edited by _Rexy_; 06-04-2023, 12:45 PM.CasperUK likes this.

Beterbiev got teed off on in that fight. if Callum hits Beter as much, it's a wrap.

but i didn't bet on that fight. i knew it was a toss up.
i also bet on Bivol to beat Canelo and Zhang to beat Joyce. slips shown.
this fight is another toss-up. Smith is younger and hits harder than anyone Beter's fought. his offense is also better than Smith who relies on the 1-1-2. easy to time.

If it was flipped and Canelo only given 5 weeks notice, he has no time to juice, can't get into shape in time, his stamina is even worse and who knows what happens.
Your boy got schooled by Bivol and ducked the rematch multiple times. The fact that somebody else he beat has been praised by Beterbiev's trainer to help hype a fight is pretty meaningless in that context, but I guess you gotta come up with something when your guy prefers fighting 40 year olds and Ryder instead of facing the best.

Why, who would you put forward as a tougher fight for him?

So yes it is a dangerous fight from that perspective.
However, from experience, most fighters tend to revert to type when the going gets tough and Callum Smith gets backed up easily and rushes his work when pressured. He also gets into a firefight easily too.
His last fight with Bauderlique showed how willing he was to engage in a toe to toe battle and he also got caught a few times too. A more compact and measured fighter like Beterbiev would create and exploite lots of openings.
