Crawford vs Spence has the hallmarks of Hearns vs SRL

I can see a similar pattern of fight, Spence in the role of Hearns and Crawford in the role of SRL.

Spence builds up an early lead behind his jab and control of distance, wouldn't be surprised if he wobbles Crawford and catches him reaching, in the second half I can see Crawford turning full attack mode and getting to Spence.

If it goes the distance I see Spence potentially hanging on for a close decision or Crawford by late stoppage.

    what do people think?

I don't think it does hearn and srl had a way different mindset they were killers. Boxers now are so pampered fighting as little as possible while making a lot of money. it spits in the faces of former greats like the aforementioned hearn and srl. You don't get many old school throwback fighters anymore other than usyk perhaps beterbiev and bivol too.

Nah SRL played it super carefully at first because Hearns could 1PKO

Errol doesn’t have Hearns punching power

I can see it play out something like this. I think Crawford may get the stoppage late.

Maybe Hearns-SRL 2....those guys fought young the first time, below 24 years old I think

if Crawford gets the stoppage, it has to be within the first 6 rounds. Anything after, Spence is still there throwing 50 punches a round late. I don't know who will win, but I'm leaning towards Crawford. It's 50/50. For a fighter to win, the must dictate the style they want to use. If it's a boxing match from the outside, Bud wins easily. If it's an inside fight, Bud gets ktfo.

yes. Their first 4 years as a pro. Spence has been a pro for 11 years and Crawford has been a pro for 15 years. These guys are older NOW than Leonard and Hearns were in their rematch. Plus, hearns and Leonard rematches occured their 12th years as professionals hahaha. Can't even compare the 2 fights. This fight should have happened years ago, but this is the current standard. Talk about fights for a half decade and then when both figthers are in their mid 30s and spent their career in fights that they were always the favorite, get the big money fights towards the end of their careers. What if DLH and trinidad didn't fight until 2003? By that time, Dlh had fought Trinidad, Quartey, Gonzalez, Chavez twice, Vargas(washed up), and Mosely twice. Tito had fought Hopkins, Vargas, Reid, DLh, and Joppy. It's sad

I was talking more the pattern of the fight but I know where you are coming from. Boxing is currently at its lowest point during the time I've been posting here, and it stems from fights not getting made.

Spence can crack, he's not a one punch guy but I think he hits hard enough to earn respect, Crawford will not be able to just run up on him
