Tank is still untested as far as I'm concerned. He is using the Mayweather blue-print of fighting opponents on their way up or down, or hyping up opponents as better than they truly are. When he gets in with a prime Shakur, Haney, or even Loma. He likely won't fight Frank Martin who belongs to PBC, doubt he'll ever meet up with Keyshawn Davis somewhere down the line either. If he dips his toes into 140 again who does he fight there?

Usyk is constantly giving up size, weight and home field advantage. In Usyk's four HW fights he's been outweighed by 27, 38, 19 and 24 pounds.

Tank's last few fights have had hydration clauses.

      They are not the same.

Floyd already had a good resume by the time he hit 140 though. Tank has nowhere near close to a Genero or a Chico Corrales to boast about.

Corrales was his best win, and Corrales was drained at 130 and recovering from Bronchitis. Genaro retired right after that fight. After the Castillo fights Floyd found the winning formula to compete against big names on their way up or down or just not at their best.

Bronchitis, sure. Drained I'm not buying though. Chico had just come off wins over Juuko, Gaiiner and Manfredy all at 130 all three months apart from each other, then fought Floyd at 130 another 3.5 months after that. He also fought Cassamayer at 130 twice a few years AFTER that.

First of all, I know Usyk is correctly ranked as #1, which I agree with.

I think that Tank Davis is the best fighter in terms of pound for pound in a literal sense, at least #2. Like same day weigh in, both fighters are the same height and same weight. So that’s Tank Davis fighting a guy weighing 140-147lbs on fight night, 5’6” in height, 68” reach.

Tank Davis would be the best with those terms. If he’s strictly fighting other opponents his exact size. Which I think P4P actually means. It doesn’t mean, the best fighter on the planet even if they’re fighting a 20lb heavier fighter.

I think Tank Davis shares that spot with Usyk. 1A and 1B.

Usyk vs Tank, same weight, same height, would be the best fight right now.

I think if Tank were Crawford’s size, he’d KO him. He’d KO or UD, either closely 7-5 or widely 9-3, any other fighter not named Usyk. He’d absolutely KO Haney.
People don't see p4p like that for some reason. I don't know if it's something that has changed, but I've always preferred to see it this way. People put way too much emphasis on resumes right now. So much that sometimes by the time the fighter is being recognized as a p4p top guy, they start declining rapidly if they're not already a bit past it.

                Usyk #1. Yes. Tank. No.

Naoya Inoue should not be forgotten.

Tank and Inoue are like 1a and 1b in my opinion. Usyk isn’t their level.

                      Which dude?

If it’s one dude, then that’s not really a lot of people. That sounds like an unpopular, minority opinion. He’s ranked pretty low in general. He just got his just due in his last fight, entered #10.
