So why did Lara mysteriously choose not to fight?

Lara is either an idiot that decided not to win or is very limited and can be outboxed by someone with enough reach and power if they stick to a good game plan.

What’s up with some boxers winning the biggest fight of their career (at the point), and just completely disregard their career for the rematch?

You have to realize as the winner, the guy you just KO’ed and wants a rematch, is probably coming in a little harder for the rematch. So why would come in softer, and not train either the same or harder for the rematch?

Andy Ruiz did the exact same thing vs AJ, and lost almost the same exact way.

Lara didn’t even bother to train or make weight.

He has gone from looking like badass road warrior to now being unskilled and undisciplined. In the blink of an eye.

Wood is the much better fighter. He was beating Lara’s ass in the first fight and got caught. Had he been a little more careful in that first fight he would’ve KO’d Lara. That wreckless brawler was taking a beating until he managed to catch Wood with a perfect punch. I’d pick Wood to beat Lara almost every time. Lara is one dimensional and has terrible stamina and is terribly inconsistent. When the first fight was being promoted I thought he was was the older fighter, not Wood. Watching them in the ring, I still thought Lara was the old fighter. I was shocked to find out that he was 24! Dude looks like he’s an old looking 50 year old.

Lara struggled with Woods jab and movement in the first fight too. Wood was dominating that fight easily too.

Couple that with his struggles at making weight and whatever else was going on in his head and he just wasn't ready for it.
