He is entertaining to watch, but he can afford that style because he fights in small division. And he is not even fast.

Try to fight that wide open at 147, 160, 175 or at heavyweight and somebody will knock your head off.

Call it like it is, the fight was funny, but lets not pretend this is some master boxing lesson.

On a technical level he isnt. Hes a raw physical attributes kind of fighter - toughness, power and athleticism.

I think last night showed how bad of a pro fighter Conlan is if anything.

Lopez was loading up on the worst punch to load up on, the uppercut. He was throwing that super nintendo Mortal Kombat uppercut, damn near telling Conlan he’s going to throw it. And Conlan just stood there, like a video game, walking right into it all night.

I guess Lopez was fighting that way because he wasn’t afraid of Conlan’s power. Because that was really poor form.
