I lost respect because he is so ****** to fight Mayweather not in his terms. The fight was so one sided that he made everybody looked bad - Mosely, Cotto, Pac included.
I still respect him though as a fighter....in his weightclass.Comment

In any case, I respectfully disagree with you. Floyd's skill level and speed is above Marquez'.
If they were both 130 or 135, Floyd runs through Marquez.Comment

I know because floyd had the balls to fight cotto.Comment

Seriously though, him and his brother are my favorite fighters of all time. I just think boxing has ******ed fans in general, and even more ******ed people in control of the sport.
Marquez had absolutely no one looking out for him, it was like Floyd could have DONE ANYTHING and it would have magically got swept under the rug.
Since the fight was announced, the whole thought of it didn't feel like a serious fight from the start. It's amazing that someone like Marquez can do what he's done in the sport, and still get completely jobbed. But to some extent, that's what Juan get's for even ****in with Goldenboy and Floyd Mayweather Jr on the same fight. Floyd's the biggest clown/lame/flat out ***** in the sport, and Goldenboy is Goldenboy, they've been known for makin some ******ed match ups.
I honestly think Marquez should have fought for the 140 belt that Diaz fought for. Marquez should have played it smart, and let Paq's scary ass take the risk this time around. lol Would have been like a "Top Rank maneuver" an ****. But it seriously would have been the smartest one. Cause we still can't fully see if Marquez is going to be effective at 140. At 144 he put on wayyyy too much weight and muscle, dude couldn't get his punches out fast enough on a consistent basis. If he would have had that chance to get that 140lb vacant, we would know by now if Marquez should stick to 135. Now the guy has to get back on those Mountains and try it again.Comment
