This is a common misconception. Once the champion enters the ring, they are no longer champion until they either win or draw. There is no obligation for a “challenger” to win decisively or by knock out. Simply to win at least one more round than the other fighter is enough.

Its safe to say that appeal wont do sht to change result and it will be discarded most likely.
Loma should just keep his head high, let it go and comeback stronger, haney will drop his belts and move up soon ,there will be another shot for loma at 135 for sure.Comment

Loma bloodied Haney’s mouth (even the commentators noted that), he hurt Haney three times, where had Haney not held on for dear life, he might have ended up on the canvas… He landed all the flashy combos to the head, where Haney only did good work to the body. Lastly, Loma threw more, and landed more according to Compubox. Loma dictated the action, and the exchanges were fought on his terms - Devin was simply reacting all night.
And I don’t think an honest man could say he would rather have been Haney before those crappy scorecards were read.

3 rounds? WOW! Quite the pattern revealing itself amongst the usual suspects here.
I am more of a Loma fan than Haney, but Loma past fights are a let down. Something is different with him and it could be age, or just fighting better fighters. He's more of a pitty patty fighter than now than a dude who used put together well placed shots.
Loma won r3, rd10 and r11, and that's it. Go and watch the fight again without sound.
