Comments Thread For: Devin Haney-Vasiliy Lomachenko: CompuBox Punch Stats

Devin Haney found success early on by targeting Vasily Lomachenko's body with his right hand. Haney landed 50 body punches, 49 of which were power punches.

Devins jab was always overrated. Didn't he land like 10 jabs the whole fight against the other southpaw Diaz?

Close fight could've gone either way.
Does anybody have Shakur Stevenson moaning footage?

Yeah, the stats about sum it up. Lomachenko landed more jabs, landed more power punches, hurt Haney more and won his rounds more clearly and therefore the natural winner is Haney.

This is what's wrong with boxing and why it doesn't have the appeal it once did. Fighter are protected and judges are crooked.

            Sounds about right

loma landed more jabs, power shots and still lost the decision due to politics

I don't really care about Compubox. It's what some drunk guy does up in a booth, smashing buttons. Those guys don't now what they're doing. I remember seeing a fight where Compbuxo said the guy landed 35 power punches but in reality, he only threw 14 punches in total and didn't even land all of them. That's not an exaggeration. Compubox is not something to go by. Plus Compubox doesn't say who landed the cleaner, harder punches.

Loma won easy. Simple as that.

Probably the most disputed "undisputed champion" I have seen.

That's the thing, not only is it clear from watching the fight, it is also supported by the drunk compubox stats and the general public that clearly Loma won.

Loma landed not only more but did more damage. Haney was not better in any aspect and yet he won in the judges eyes. I wonder if it got anything to do with 3 'Merican judges, fight hosted in America with an American fighter facing a Ukrainian.

It was a close fight. Haney made it to finish line because of early rounds and finished 12th round strong.
people are overreacting. Its not like Loma was dominating Haney the whole match.
