Yet a super close and competitive fight with a ton of toss up rounds is getting eviscerated by the fans. I don't get it, where was this fervor the last few weeks?

    • That was far from a robbery. Max Kellerman said it perfectly. There's that sense of something nefarious and unfair because Loma appeared to be winning over Haney in the last half of the fight and won the story while giving up too many early rounds. To prove what he means by it when the fight was over I felt Loma had done just enough to win a close decision and felt he was the better man but when I tallied my scorecard I had Haney winning by one round. That was a damn tough fight to score. So many of those rounds were evenly fought.

      • Great win for King Devin. Only racists say it's a robbery. #Undisputed

        • I think a lot of credit has to be given to Devin’s game plan. It was perfect. He neutralized Loma’s patented move by going low and spinning with him. And those body shots were killer. The only thing I think he could have done better was pump the jab more, control the distance and better endurance.

          • The Haney apologists are saying "it was a close fight so no robbery and Haney landed a lot of body shots," and there were a lot of close rounds. But what we had was a close fight, with many close rounds up to the 9th, and then Loma bossing the 10th and 11th and then Haney probably taking the 12th. At no point did the body shots ever trouble Loma, and Haney looked lost in the 10th and 11th.

            It was a cooked decision.

Only someone with low iq on the spectrum would make a comment like that. Maybe if you took huggy’s nuts out of that mouth, you wouldn’t have made a comment like that. Remember, d riding a nut hugging still won’t get huggy to reply back to those DM’s you slid into clown.

How was it perfect when Loma was hitting him cleanly with straight lefts for most of the night? If you score the fight for effective agression and ring generalship, Loma had the upper hand for more rounds than Haney. Haney had success with countering to the body and using clinching to stop attacks. You cannot give rounds to someone for clinching well.

                • Haney fans so excited about a gift. I haven’t heard a single professional say anything in favor of Haney other than “it could have gone either way.” The vast majority had Loma winning, many by a wide margin.

How can you dare take away titles that took Haney three decisive title fights to unify and just give the
to Loma in one fight that was at best a draw?
LOMA had to do more than that, I mean look at Loma’s beat up face and you know his body is aching. Y’all need to be fair to the game and like I said earlier, neither Haney nor Loma could decisively beat the other and to me that’s at best a draw and you should not take another man’s earned titles with a simple draw result.
Haney unified those titles? Sorry, that was Teo.

Obviously we saw it different. If you think that a game plan can't be perfect because a future hall-of-famer can land clean shots then we also have different understanding of boxing. Of course Loma was going to land. It's a fight! But Haney took away a weapon and busted him up to the body and face early on. The rounds you obviously gave to Loma, I scored for Haney. I thought he was more aggressive and effective to the body. So much so that it slowed Loma down and tired him out around the 4-5. But, as is the style of Loma, he gets a second wind and comes on late. But once again it was too late, like in his other losses. But I honestly think it could have gone either way. That's how close it was for me.
