No I think Lomachenko showed he was a hypejob after all. I used to want him to win before I started suspecting the fights were fake, but even if you view this like a real fight, then he showed no heart and little skill. He was just repeating the same moves over and over, and even when they worked and Haney was a sitting duck, then Loma would still miss 4 out of his 5 punch combination, as if he was pulling his punches or missing on purpose. They both missed so much, so inaccurate. What was Loma's accuracy, like 25% power punches connecting on Haney who has a big head and is not the best defensively? That is su****iously bad. Devin also had many chances to hurt Lomachenko but it was like he was pulling his punches. The whole fight looked fake to me to be honest and I think the controversial scoring, with the Vegas judges having it one way and the TV judges having it the opposite way, is planned ahead of time on purpose in order to generate controversy and distract from the fact it's not the judges who are corrupt, it's the boxers themselves.

All night both of them were mostly missing "punches" and then waiting, pawing, holding, wrestling, walking in circles, engaging to throw one jab or miss a combination, or throw body punches onto the padding on the shorts. This must be the real reason they let fighters punch low so much, it is easier to fake hard body shots that way because there is so much padding in the trunks. I think boxing fans are the suckers for believing any of this acting is real.

    • If you're saying this fight was a "robbery", you're a delusional clown that should stop watching boxing. Boxingscene scored this fight a draw, so it was far from a robbery, although, yes, I do believe Lomachenko edged this fight out, and he should have been given the decision, but this was a close fight, not a one-sided affair as you ridiculous casuals are claiming

But fight was all business. Loma is entering the twilight of his career, while Devin is entering his prime star status. Top Rank is choosing the fighter than can get them the most money. They will continue to groom Haney and then feed him to the wolves with Tank or Shakur for a big payday.
Not true. This was the last fight of Haney's Top Rank contract. They wanted Loma to win, so he could be fed to Shakur. There is zero guarantee Haney will fight Shakur, as both would want a ton of money and now TR has zero leverage to force that fight as Haney could simply go back to Hearn or go to PBC

        • I think we can all agree on one thing though, Haney should give Loma a rematch.
If he grants the rematch he deserves respect, if he doesn't he will be forever known as a coward, it's as simple as that.

No, after tonight; One thing is abundantly clear and that is Haney days at fighting in the lightweight division are over due to poor conditioning. I thought his conditioning failed him down the stretch to the point; Where Loma was able to out hustle him and nearly won the fight. if it hadn't been for the early rounds; He could have easily lost this fight.

Commey (and Pedraza for that matter) has become TR's resident gatekeeper.

Tonight should serve as a warning to Josh Taylor: you need to DOMINATE against Teofimo.

                But oh well.

What this fight really showed was Haney has no chance against Tank. He eats straight lefts like he can't see them coming. A few straight lefts from Gervonta is putting him to sleep. That's what I did see from this fight.
Gervonta will give Haney so much real estate. That’s an easier fight for Haney. Loma pushes the action and constantly tests your stamina. Tank throw 15 punches a round, Haney will be as fresh as a Daisy so long as he is not caught with something big. Shakur now is a different story

TBH that's probably what Haney should do. I've been noticing his past few fight even with Kamboso's that Haney tends to tire late in fights at times and start to look lethargic, and I can't help but think that's got something to do with him continuing to cut weight at 24 years old when his body is trying to fill out. Devin is too big for 135lbs. If he was dominating guys they'd be calling him a weight bully.

.I can only imagine how different these weight classes would look if boxing had transitioned to same day early morning weigh ins and people fought closer to their natural weight

No, it was just a close fight that had its typical ebbs and flows and could have gone either way. A draw wouldn't have been a bad score neither would a Lomachenko victory would have been a bad score. Had Devin lost the twelfth round then the fight would have been ruled officially a Draw.

Personally if Loma closed the show in the 12th he would have got my vote but even a draw Haney still keeps his belts. The most important round of a fight and Loma gave it to a wounded fighter. For that you leave the ring with nothing
These are always fake fights. As soon as Haney was "hurt" (which is probably just part of the script and acting), Loma stopped punching to end the 11th, and then barely punched the whole 12th round. Similar script as the Canelo vs GGG fights whenever Canelo would get "hurt" but again I doubt they are actually hurt because they're not real punches, they always pull the punches at the last second so only the padding lands to create a splash, and make it look real, but no actual damage. It's pillow fight "boxing."

If these fights were real, Lomachenko would have thrown body shots at Haney's trunks once Loma realized the ref was allowing that. But he never did. Same script as many fights recently. "He comes from the amateur system so he doesn't know any better" script, even though this has happened to them like 15 times now, both to him personally and his friends whose fights he watched, so there is no way they dont know. The only conclusion is that it's fake and they are all following whatever script helps them make the most money. They dont care about winning or losing. Real boxers never win because they end up with brain damage. That's why they all do fake boxing instead. They are performers, like WWE.
