I think we all know he whoops any UFC guy in a boxing ring and loses in a cage unless he somehow lands on them before they get chance to kick or go for a takedown, but realistically that would need to be in the opening moments of the fight, because that would be their tactic.

Nobody from UFC is going to just stand and trade only hands with him for even 20 seconds in a cage, they would target the legs and use kicks from the opening bell.

Most of the UFC guys get absolutely embarrassed by boxers when they can't threaten kicks and takedowns, and they've got bad habits of keeping hands lower because they're used to having to defend the aforementioned kicks and takedowns.
what do you mean 'overrated' UFC is literally a mix of all the fighting styles in the world and the most effective ones come out on top, what exactly would a UFC fighter get exposed against in a fight?

In a street fight, i'd bet money on a volkanovski easy, a light heavyweight is a no brainer.

Lol yeah, I dont know how they can be "overrated" while simultaneously having a skillset that allows them to consistently and easily beat any other combat sports athletes. If anything it would mean the champs and top guys of other combat sports are overrated because they demonstrably arent the best fighters even though their sport is based around fighting.

I think the other guy might have been referring specifically to their striking though. Which I dont understand either because I dont think anyone has been under the illusion that MMA fighters can box like high level boxers, or that they are as good on average at overall striking as kickboxers and Muay Thai guys. That said anyone can get KTFO in MMA when you throw in the 4oz gloves, no counts, all the different things you have to defend against, the wrestling threat etc.

The whole jack of all trades argument is dumb too, they are masters of MMA.

In the octagon, yes!!!! They'd chop the tree down by just kicking him in the legs until they were like jelly and then submit him on the ground.
