So Arum is saying that the fight cant be made because of the greedy fighters demand more money than they bring in. But somehow Im sure I'll see Tank or Stevenson fight again anyway against some other bums who wont bring in as much money.
If big fights arent gonna get made, why be a boxing fan? For the mismatches?

Fighters are greedy. Bobfather is right. Look at the Spence vs Crawford who is no longer with Bob. Did it get made? NO.

Maybe Bob should talk to his fighter and see what he wants. This shows that TR is a relic that needs to change or go away.

looking ahead, haney is the top guy at LW with the belts & if he beats loma he stays there, tank is the popular guy with fans so that by rights is the fight to be made next, its the fight that should really happen, both guys on form going well at the same weight, its a no brainer for the sport really, if it doesnt happen next it will probably not happen at all or only when one or both is not going so well and the interest will be much lower as a result

boxing needs to stop allowing crap that stops top guys going well from getting it on to see who is the best & forever leading to fantasy matchups as a result, prime v prime cannot be beaten, if some guy wants to duck this then it should be clear who is doing that too, often there is no clarity whatsoever

Sure but not my point. My point is that if they price themselves out, so Bob says he cant work with them, then no fight gets made ever. But wait, mysteriously Bob will still make fights with them. Just not against good competition.

Don King was the central figure in boxing for shelling out these huge guaranteed contracts to fighters like Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.
King might have been the central figure but he straight up phucked every single fighter he was ever involved with.

I understand the part on fighters needing to be rational on what their market value actually is. But the part after that when he stated "I would rather just buy a ticket and watch them fight" is where i'm confused. How could you buy a ticket for a fight that wouldn't be made for the very reasons you've just pointed out?

No one could get a fight made if they had Fury behaving the way he does and lying all the time and intentionally making things difficult to shut the fight down. That isn't a promoter problem. That's a Tyson Fury problem.
