You can't go through two top trainers and then believe you'll improve under a third one especially after the first two said you're the problem.

jermell is the undisputed champ at 154 and Errol has 3 belts at 147. They didn’t accomplish this by having no defense. Obviously James is teaching them something.

also, Not sure where “Ryan has bad defense” came from. Yes, he got clocked by Campbell and KOd by Tank, but Campbell was more of a lapse of concentration. Is not like Campbell was teeing off on him. Tank was just much better in every aspect and Ryan got impatient. Other than tank, no one has put multiple shots together.

Don't get me wrong. Derrick James is a damn good boxing coach! However, in order to improve; Garcia must willing to learn self-discipline so James can help train him. It's never been about who trains Ryan Garcia.

According to those who were the closest to him; Has always said that it has been his work ethic or the lack thereof that has held him back from developing into a complete, scientific and fundamentally sound boxer.

As King Ry fights better competition and step up his level of opposition. He is going to need a good chin and defense. You are absolutely right. Spence and the Charlo boys are all multi-title division winners.

They may not have the best of defenses in the world but they are certainly all self-discipled and have good chins.

Ryan is a grasshopper. He's in his early 20's and already on his 3rd pro trainer. U can't hop around like that. It means he doesn't know who he is in the ring. He's searching for an identity, same as AJ. Trainers can't fight for u. Ryan is looking for outside help but he's the problem. When he fought Tank, he did some ****** things in there, being overly aggressive and impatient early on. That's not Joe Goosen's fault. And Derrick James isn't a great fit for Ryan anyway
