also, Not sure where “Ryan has bad defense” came from. Yes, he got clocked by Campbell and KOd by Tank, but Campbell was more of a lapse of concentration. Is not like Campbell was teeing off on him. Tank was just much better in every aspect and Ryan got impatient. Other than tank, no one has put multiple shots together.

It almost feels as if he was going to go with Reynoso, but Reynoso and Canelo gave him tough love and were telling him what he didn’t want to hear, so he went with James instead.

That being said, he’ll get world class sparring with urban style fighters in the James camp, and that could help build him toward a Davis rematch.

Tanks rematch, for what? The guy was outclassed and made to quit. So, there's no need for a rematch. The only reason I can fancy for a rematch is money, more money.

it wont matter who trains ryan. his problems are inherent....lack of i.q. he has reached his full capacity.his general outlook on life. he was raised as a prima donna. as long as he kept on winning he could do whatever he wants. and thats be a social media star.

The problem with Goossen, beside that he didn't train Garcia but 'collaborated with him' (what the hell does that mean, are they making a record?) was that Garcia had zero respect for him.
Saw a video yesterday with RG talking to the camera once again in the gym and Joe Goossen ties his gloves. Goossen says something and Garcia looks with disbelief and reacts to the camera "that's Joe Goossen my trainer. He interrupted me..."

No chance of that kinda disrespect in Derrick James gym. He is the least accomplished fighter in his gym. We'll see how he handles that.
