Draining your body like that, especially how Haney looks at weigh ins, that’s not natural. We’re not supposed to do that our bodies. It’s not healthy and it takes a toll on your body.

You are absolutely not 135 only if you make 135. He isn’t a healthy 135lbs.

This is one of the things I really respected of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fought near his walk around weight for his entire career. He was really not BS’ing when he claimed that health comes first. And he won every single time while fighting dudes who were taking advantage. Jose Luis Castillo (147) and Diego Corrales (145) were ridiculous weight bullies. So was Baldomir, Ortiz, Maidana. Their walk around weight was no where near their weigh in weight.

Kev, you can’t say if he is healthy or not at 135.

I expect he will move up shortly.

so teo took lomas dream at 135 but in the very next fight it turned into teo's nightmare, now loma has a second chance at his dream and his victory would surely be a nightmare for devin

i dont get this trend of fighting at weight classes that dont suit the fighter... hes handicapping himself against these guys, im not using that as an excuse just saying its his own fault if he fights these bigger guys and loses, could have had a much better legacy fighting people his own size

Also, I think Loma and Teo were around the same weight 30 days out. 144 lbs if I remember. Loma might be a little undersized, but I doubt he can make 130 healthily at his age.

Roberto Duran was 5’ 7” too.

Didn’t stop him from being the all-time greatest lightweight. And from moving up to 147 and beating Sugar Ray Leonard’s ass.

There are decent fighters and then there are real legends.

On paper, Haney has a real edge, but I’m pulling for you, Loma. Good luck!

It's fighters challenging themselves as they couldnt find opponents to satisfy them at their prev weight division. Thats the case for loma atleast, prolly among the last of the previous generation of real boxers ‍♂️

In most cases tho, they do it to avoid competitions, like what these "top dogs" of twitterweight divisions are doing..

And who even is questioning loma's legacy? Only haters that who.. guy lost twice while fighting 1-armed and against a guy who punched his ballsacks all night and lost to a controversial decision. They all suddenly act like loma is a hypejob, yet these guys at 135 wont fight each other..they need a natural 130 to knock on their doors for them to scooter around.. lol
