Why did Evander Holyfield do so poorly against James Toney?

Evander exchanged with him the entire fight getting the worst of it, and down the stretch, Toney kept telling Evander to come at him and ultimately dropped him.

Because he was shot & Toney's a tricky style to fight.

People say he was shot but honestly, I think it was a stylistic mismatch. James Toney is like a slippery fish. I think Holyfield would always have a hard time trying maul him.

Because he was shot to pieces.

In his last 7 fights he was 2-2-3

His next fight after he lost to Larry Donald.

              What's the mystery?

How could you possibly come to this conclusion?

Holyfield is on a whole different stratosphere to Toney.

Prime Holyfield Crusier or Heavyweight barely loses a round to Toney.
