i like ortiz and he's shown he's a good fighter. he messed up and did'nt know how to deal with it. he got a wakeup call and i'm sure he'll bounce back. i'm still a fan of him, and i stop being a fan when a fighter loses.

true statement...while his best days may be behind him he is still a great fighter had two bad outings against elite guys and lost everyone is callin him a bum????? how is a guy who won titles in two weight divisions and held the lineal crown at 140 for a good 5 years a bum? cause he got caught by pac and outclassed by pbf that doesnt make anyone a bum in my bookbut as far as ortiz is concerned he also is still a great fighter he was keepin up with maidana but it wasnt that he got beat physically he just got beat mentally...he is still a young kid and has a bright future in the sport and will eventually get that title that he wants...not quite on the level to call out hatton because IMO marquez will be first on hattons list if he does decide to come back to the sport

The big deal is not what he did, is what he said and what he is still saying. Look he is young, and that was his first time tested. That is understandable. The problem I see with him is that he said "I am too young to get beat up like that," well he is not older, he is still too young to get beat up like that. Second, now he is claiming a shattered wrist, amnesia and god nows what next week. Be a man, say I quit, I am young and did not know how to handle adversity. I think people will be more understanding and think you deserve another chance. We are boxing fans, not morons. We know that he quit and what he said, do not try to pull to wool over our eyes.
