  • Comments Thread For: Spence On Avoiding Tuneups: "It Shouldn't Take Another Fight For Me To Be Sharp and On Point"

Errol Spence Jr. is a man of few words but there are certain principles that he lives by. In the world of boxing, protracted stints on the sidelines have prompted even the sport's most elite fighters to take a relatively soft touch before jumping into the thick of things. By and large, those "tune-ups" are then followed by bigger and more fan-pleasing bouts.

I hear this guy is ducking VADA testing. I’m guessing he needs time to flush his system like when Mikey asked for it.

Either way. If he comes in small and skinny like vs Mikey, Crawford is going to manhandle him.

The Big Fish has spoken, Mr. Man Down doesn't want or need any tune ups. The Truth is that The Bodysnatcher has been waiting on that guppy to come anywhere near him, so he eat can him like Crawfish.

I think any casual boxing fan has already forgotten the existence of Spence or even Crawford at this point. Do these guys even care to stay relevant? Are they on that GRJ fight once per year schedule? Terrible state of boxing at the moment with these type of champions.

Besides Crawford, which who knows will happen, Spence can lobby for a fight with Canelo.

I mean, he's a big, tall welterweight who can easily fight at 168 lbs.

So this guy has only fought twice in 3 years smh. This guy is almost irrelevant. It's a shame the bodies let him hold onto his belts for so long when there's plenty of hungry fighters out there .

any good trainer will tell you that sparring isn't the same as a real fight.
