The only time I’ve said Bud was in a 50/50 fight was with Porter based off Porter’s performance against Spence. I’ve never doubted Crawford’s skills. I’ve only questioned his choice of opponents.

But, my response to you in regard to Horn is no different from Spence vs Ugas. Crawford needed a belt at 147. A belt gives fighters two things - legitimacy and leverage. Unless one is popular like Canelo or PAC or even Floyd.
I understand why Bud faced Horn despite it being a mismatch. Why can’t you understand that Spence fighting Ugas was not about bragging rights but unification which gives Spence leverage when comes to negotiations and undisputed bragging rights.

It’s also exactly what Bud did at 140. No one remembers the opponents but they throw out that fact all the time. That Bud unified 140 division.
    So, I’m agreeing with you
I wasn't referring to you about Postol being a 50/50 fight. I'm merely saying that some fans actually considered it a 50/50 fight.

I remember Bud's opponents at 140 he unified belts with. Indongo was a unified champ who won his two belts (IBF and WBA, I believe) on the road. He was no chump. Postol had crushed Matthysse and was Danny's mandatory who Garcia wanted no parts of. Any fan who doesn't know who Crawford unified against at 140 isn't really much of a fan.

Interest in Crawford-Spence has died off a bit. If it doesn't happen by the end of July, even more fans will hop off the bandwagon.

Once he flattened their tires, the narrative changed and the goalposts were moved once again to "Brook was shot!" and "Shawn was semi-retired". You boys are quite good at bending facts to suit your agendas.

Yep, Bud had no business fighting Khan, but he wouldn't have fought guys like Khan if Thurman and Garcia stepped up. It always tickles me how you Spence fan boys build Ugas up to be an elite fighter. Ugas was a journeyman body bag with four losses (two to Mexican pastry chefs) who happened to catch a fading Manny at the right time. Since getting crushed by Earl, that aging street sweeper hasn't even tried to fight, just some occasional chirping about wanting to fight Thurman or some other check chaser.

Why would Crawford call for fights with Boots or Ortiz Jr.? Neither has a belt. Ortiz Jr. was Bud's WBO mandatory and could have demanded that fight. Boots was next in line and could have done the same once Ortiz Jr. made it clear he wasn't interested. Neither of them wanted that Nebraska smoke. Instead, they pursued a route to Spence, the easier and safer route. Words are words. Actions talk.

Who ever said Crawford was ducking Brook when Brook was basically retired and shot at that point? What a bold faced lie.

Ugas would be Crawford's best win. Better than Porter who was washed at that point and who Ugas got robbed against. The rest you're just a fan boy.

Postol and Indongo are B level fighters. One of the easiest paths if not the easiest to unification in boxing history.

Put the pipe down, son. There were indeed fans in my Facebook boxing group calling for Bud to face Brook. Anyone who believes Ugas was a better fighter than Porter has a serious substance abuse problem or mental disorder. Ugas was a journeyman body bag with four losses when he caught a fading and distracted Manny at the right time. Two of those losses were to Mexican cabbies. Another was to the immortal Amir Iman.

Nobody gives a damn about your Facebook boxing group filled with marks like you. I can see the level of intelligence there if somebody said Crawford should fight a Brook coming off a win over Mark DeLuca. That fight was a disgrace. Brook wasn't even top 20 at the time.

And clearly you didn't watch the Ugas-Porter fight. Ugas was robbed. And he beat a Pacquiao for a title that had just beaten Thurman. You're a Crawford cheerleader that knows nothing about boxing. You're a laughingstock.

Your sig quote is also idiotic.

Ugas was a journeyman body bag. Only you Earl Sprintz STANs seem to believe he is elite. Man y was running for president in the Philippines while training for the ATG Mr. Ugas, and Ugas still barely won. You sound like a total dullard. I wonder where vermin like you will hide after Bud turns out your boy's lights if they ever fight. Maybe Earl can fight five loss Ugas in a title eliminator rematch. Hahahahahahahaha!

                • He's avoiding fighting full stop, I'd like to see him in action more, his trajectory really slowed down after the Brook fight whereas it should have sped up a bit. I think the accident took alot more out of him than he has publicly disclosed. His health is most important at the end of the day but I just miss watching his fights.

                    • If you read the latest reports there is only one guy holding up the fight.......the same guy that ran from negotiations last time. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out, Crawford does not want the fight. He has no problem jumping through the ropes for an easy opponent .....why is that? He keeps saying he's pound for pound best and been blaming his old Promoter Arum and every other reason he can think of for not making the fight but what's his excuse now? Remember how badly Porter had to shame him to get him in the ring? Crawford even asked him to stop publicly calling him out. I think Porter had to make it clear to him he had health problems and was cashing out before Crawford reluctantly agreed. Even with all that it was a close fight until Shane's Daddy incredibly stopped the action. I hear a poster here talk about how he took Postol apart.....go rewatch that fight ...Crawford certainly won but he was running from Postol over the last few rounds as if he were Mike Tyson. Crawford IS good......he is NOT great....people who know boxing know this and more importantly he knows it. Expect him to run from negotiations again.....blame everyone else and then have another easy cash out fight.
