He could step in the ring today and have a huge money fight with Canelo or Benavidez besides Andrade just out of fan's on both sides excitement to see what it would look like. It wouldn't be smart to do so after such a long period of inactivity, but the facts remain that he could.
Canelo's stubborn ass will fight Bivol again in September, and Bivol will be foolish to not take the fight. So....do you expect Jermall to wait till next May for Canelo, or will he actually fight a significant opponent in the meantime? A Jermall match-up will be Canelo's way of siphoning the majority of SHO's budget. SHO is better off making Jermall/Andrade.

Do you remember how Jermall was rumored to face Sulecki as a tune-up last year, and it was allegedly gonna be rescheduled? Jermall's hiatus has lasted so long that Sulecki had to move on and is now having his own tune-up next month.

GGG dropped the WBA title and look how far in advance Lara/Garcia got announced? But Jermall can't even announce a tune-up? This whole situation is ridiculous.

I agree, the situation is frustrating, but he's been shown sparring and working out for something that I guess we should find out soon. All of a sudden, his name is on all the boxing media outlets for the last week, something is brewing. If I were advising him, Hamzah Sheeraaz, Felix Cash, or Nursultanov to shake off the rust, and Andrade or Adames immediately after, and by immediately, I mean 3 to 4 months.

Mostly unproven contenders, but hungry and potentially dangerous. I just don't see Jermall agreeing to them. None of these opponents would even be presented to him because they aren't affiliated with PBC. Cash has committed the cardinal sin of being affiliated with Matchroom! lol

Who's in the PBC bubble that could make sense for a tune-up? Jose Benavidez Jr, Jeison Rosario, Caleb Truax, Kyrone Davis, Demond Nicholson.

All of the guys that I named are ranked in the top 10 to 15 in the sanctioning bodies and Ring. All of these fights are extremely possible because none of these fighters are champions or could compete for the A-side in negotiations. As can be seen when the fight was made with Mungia, PBC wouldn't have a problem dealing with another promotional company, especially when the fighters don't have any leverage. The Mungia fight didn't happen for the same reason that Mungia doesn't fight any champion or top contenders in the division; he pulled out of the fight to collect some more trash wins instead.

I wholeheartedly agree that Jermall should be matched against ranked contenders. Given the favorable treatment that WBC has given him, I just don't see Jermall being FORCED to face any of them.

              Current WBC rankings:
#1 - GGG dropped his titles and has gone AWOL.
#2 and #3 - Munguia is fighting Derevyanchenko
#4 - Nursultanov is free and last fought in April
#5 - Sulecki is fighting in June
#6 - Falcao is supposed to fight for the IBF title
#7 - Eubank is fighting Smith
#8 to #10 - Williams, Sheeraz, and Czerkaszyn are free

I'd personally match Jermall against Czerkaszyn. His last three fights have been with PBC, so no political drama. He looks decent and would be hungry for the opportunity.

This sport should find a way to get rid of these ABC orgs. They are a huge pest in boxing. Why they're not doing anything about this case is mind-boggling.
