how much do YOU the fan expect these guys to pull?
the fight isn't in new york, which is cotto's only stronghold really......being that pacman is fighting, the fight should sell, but it won't do over a mil.

Maybe they can get BuBoy to slap up and choke some woman....and Miguel's entourage can shoot up a Chuck E. Cheese.

I say it will only do 600k

I have a feeling it is gonna do alot less than mayweather and then he is gonna be the offical cash cow.
        haha

Lets hope it does over 1.4 mil

          Huge mistake by Team Cotto.

On the way up, Floyd's management (ahem) had him fight in Portland (Sharmba), in Miami (bruseles) , in Grand rapids, etc. You move the fighter around to gain visibility in different geographic markets. Now, FMJ is reaping the rewards of that investment.

Cotto and Gatti stayed close to home, and close to their natural fanbases. That is fine to pack out the house that night...but how does that build your future? Resultingly, Cotto and Gatti remained regional fighters.

if they were known to the American Public they would've done 1+ million in PPV.

Int he same token Calzaghe vs Jones was by far the most boring 24/7 yet and it did bad numbers. HBO will have to work overtime, to make this 24/7 interesting. Both guys are way too quiet.
I will have to disagree on part of this.

The best 24/7 was Mayweather-Hatton. It also had some of the highest ratings. That fight had everything:

              boxer vs brawler
              black vs white
              american vs foreigner
              arrogant vs humble
              etc...

...and both guys were Undefeated, and HBO made it seem as if Hatton had a HUGE shot. It made Hatton look like a monster.

May-Marq 24/7 wasn't as highly rated. And, despite all that, May-Marq is gonna end up doing 20% more sales than May-Hatt.

If Americans know Pac and Cotto then 800kmill

If most don't and the Mexicans, Peauorto Ricans and Filipinos buy then 750k.

                  If both then 1.5+ Mil

Without GBp involved then maybe the promo won't be as good. The fact they both don't speak english well in 24/7 might make it funny.

Pac better eat some dog penis and Cotto better have an orgy otherwise lol
