My favorite division for me are up to 168-175 anything above that sucks ass badly.

Welterweight and up is all I follow closely at al. I'd rather watch two mediocre heavyweights than two top featherweights.Comment

without those divisions i wouldn't even watch boxing. i follow 17 divisions but lower ones are a lot more interesting. wilder, fury, joshua, canelo, tank are boring for me. i can't believe how somebody can only watch them and be satisfied. i watch them too but just for the sake of following boxing although i'm not entertained. i don't care about nationalities, weight, skin color, religion, promoters, networks, trainers, stories, "grudges" and ring walks. i watch for activity in the ring only.Comment

Joshua just fought a journeyman.
Fury fought in december, no fight scheduled.
Wilder fought his his sparring partner in october or something.
Usyk fought 8 months ago, no fight scheduled.
You are missing the point.
heavyweight division is almost dead, good fights happen very rarely.Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 05-15-2023, 03:10 PM.Comment

Depends on why you watch I suppose. I would rather watch some of the little guys than heavyweight all day long, because the skill level is so much higher.
Inoue is obvious, of course, and his fight with Fulton is going to be one of the best of the year.
115 was a lot of fun with the four kings, Chocolatito, Estrada, Sor Rungvisai, and Cuadras, then the new addition of Bam Rodriguez, who's now campaigning at 112.
The list posted earlier was a good list of excellent fights.
It's a lot more common to see high level footwork and defense at lower weights, and especially high volume punching. Choc and Estrada did over 2000 punches in their first two fights. We're lucky to break 800 in a lot of heavier weight fights. Think those two did more power punches in one ROUND than Tank and Ryan did in their whole fight. If you are really an aficionado of the sweet science and you don't watch the lighter classes, you're missing out. If you just want to watch some big guys beat each other up, carry on. But I don't think it's possible to really love the sweet science and NOT follow the lower weights.Comment

Oh yeah Lara - Wood rematch is must see-Fulton vs. Inoue 122lb, one of 2023's most anticipated bouts.
-Wood/Conlan 126lb, FOTY 2022 contender. Wood vs. Lara 1 is currently in the running for FOTY, and the rematch is in two weeks.
-Cordina/Ogawa 130lb, KOTY 2022 contender. Cordina/Rakhimov is currently in the running for FOTY.
-Nery/Hovhannisyan 122lb, current FOTY contender
-Junto Nakatani vs. Andrew Moloney 115lb, this week
The lighter weights have been carrying the year imho.Comment
