It'd be interesting to know the real reasons for going with Matchroom because everything else doesn't make sense. He was offered more money at TR, a lot of the big fights at 140 are with TR but yet he goes with Hearn because "he wants to be part of the team"? That makes 0 sense to me, there has to be something else to this storyComment

Matias/Prograis is potential fireworks. I don't see Matias leaving PBC due to the allure of a Davis fight, even-though we can all agree that Matias/Davis has little-to-no chance of happening. I don't even think Romero (if he beats Barroso) will face Matias, so what can PBC actually offer him? Now that Matias has a belt, he needs to move around and see what TR and MR can offer him.

I pretty much said the same thing in an earlier thread today. Why sign and fight on a network that many have dropped or don't watch against mid-tier fighters, besides Hitchins, who know one really knows about, instead of fighting for more money and recognition against Taylor, Teo, Ramirez, and a host of others on a network that is extremely popular. I'm guessing that because its only a 3 fight deal, he's probably going to average more per fight against a longer offer from Top Rank, and he going to make a good amount fighting lesser competition in a contract that he can complete in a year if he wants. It'd be interesting to know the real reasons for going with Matchroom because everything else doesn't make sense. Because he can probably clear himself a couple of million in low risk fights most likely, and then the top rank and pbc fights will probably still be there for him when his rinky dink matchroom contract is doneComment

Here is what he said the reason he signed with Matchroom instead of Top Rank. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSZ4dwWVcokIt'd be interesting to know the real reasons for going with Matchroom because everything else doesn't make sense.
