Well, you might be right but, ryder has the chance to fight Morrell Jr and didn't took the fight, hearns bought him a one way ticket back to England, the narrative was that he was moving up to fight bivol. This is disgusting, if the governing bodies don't step in, hearns is going to feed canelo's the whole UK. Such corruption, the sport is noble, one on one, the people or I should say the leeches in ties and suits living off the hard working athletes. Those are the ones responsible for this BS. By the way don't bet your house for ryder to finish the fight, against neither one of those you mentioned. Morrell would pounded him until he folds or his corner/ref stop the fight just like benavidez. And both of them hit harder and often than ginger, Morell jr has one punch KO in both hands.

You don’t have to sit up here regurgitating your same views. People are entitled to their opinions no matter how much you love Canelo.

Mandatory fight gone wrong, the end. He ain’t bringing no elite fighters to Mexico. This was an “best chance of a knockout” so it made sense to do it in Mexico. Some people need to face facts. Canelo isn’t god and he’s exiting his prime, you can’t be in the game nearly 20 years a pro and be talking about prime presently. Fighters as they age change their styles, you are starting to see it with Canelo too. Why? Because the punches that used to land just don’t get there at the same speed they used to. He’s not done but to say he’s not in decline is ******.

Im not even defending canelo just making a point on regards to ryder not being a bum but a challenge to take seriously for the rest of the smw div.

You keep bashing on canelo tho. Haters gonna hate.

Why it would be a mandatory gone wrong? Just because nelo couldn't stop a very tough and durable ryder? He still put a beating on him and got the win.

You correctly said it yourself, canelo exiting his prime ,coming off mild layoff due to recent surgery too so that adds up as well.

Well honestly I dont recall ryder being offered morrell fight, I do believe the brit would present bit more challenge than that yamaguchi dude that was fed to the cuban whos still has lot to prove imo at least benavidez can say he beat a former world champ by now, we still need to see how morrell does against tougher opp. Lot hype behind him

Will benavidez respond to the cuban callout if the ginger persist with bivol rematch? I guess we'll find out soon.

Canelo is a boxer with honor and sportsmanship. He could have punched and KOed Ryder badly when he was falling down but just looked at him. Had it been a Stevenson, Haney, Tank Davis, Mayweather etc, they would have punched him before he fell to the ground.

Hey wise guy, Canelo would have KOed Murata. Canelo is fighting at 168, which is big for his frame. GGG is a coward, why didn´t he go up in weight and fight Bivol? Canelo beat him 3 times, at GGG´s weight class.

They're not any tougher than benavidez. That's your answer to see Morrell Jr against thought competition, and benavidez didn't have to fight plant to have an exchamp in his resume, he was the champion. What I don't understand, these so called champions have never take the crown from a real champion, They're always fighting for vacant belts, and when they defend it, is against a cab driver from Calcuta. I miss the Andre Ward, Calzaghe, Froch, Nigel Benn, McClellan, Reid. Those fighters used to go after the toughest of the bunch. Nowadays they for a vacant belt, defend the the title against a couple of nobodies and they go after the canelo paycheck. Are they champions? Of course not. What real champion in his weight division has benavidez fought? None, he past the eye test, just like Morrell Jr. They all have similar resume, the difference is that the Cuban skipped the padding record 0-5 opponents, and went for more decent opposition from his second fight on. Everyone that doesn't want to see Morell jr vs benavidez clamoring to see David Morell jr against a tougher opponent, can't answer this question, who he should be that tough fighter? To me is benavidez, who do you think should be?

garfios What I ment is benavidez already has 2 former wc on his resume just coming off fresh decision win with one, we'd still need to see how good morrell does once he faces a more demanding rival , it would be great if it was benavidez but that depends on several factors apart from canelos next move. And by that I mean al haymon and PBC.
