Ryder is admitting he is not very good. I agree with him that Canelo is past his past. He looked very slow

Ryder showed real toughness, but he can't say if he didn't get hit that way in the second round, that it would've been different.

It's boxing, you can get hit, it happens. Even the best defensive fighters in history such as Willie Pep, Whitaker and Mayweather got hit.

I think Canelo is probably not a young thirtysomething, as he's had so many fights. He might still have enough in the tank to beat Benavidez and even Morrell.

I think Bivol is more difficult to beat, but it's not impossible. If you think, according to the judges, Canelo wasn't far away from a draw.

Clearly! I've seen when even Mayweather started to decline and became more of Pot Shot Fighter so it happens so now it is all about adjusting your style and knowing your Limitations

Canelo chases early KO's and when it doesn't happen his stamina starts to go at around the 8-9 round maybe instead get back to boxing and stop trying to go "Mexican Style" which honestly was never Canelo style

Ryder has heart. Saunders and Plant should take note. Ten more rounds with a broken nose is hard to do. He earned his check and certainly deserves a few more checks. Maybe a Zach Parker rematch?

Canelo has zero chance against Bivol. I admire his courage for wanting to go back to 175, but this time, Bivol might stop him, considering how the three corrupt mice tried to grease the scorecards in the first fight. Should have been 118-110, not 115-113. Canelo has a better chance at 168 against Morell or Benavidez, but he will lose to those two also.

                  Indeed.

He got a really bad beating. he could retire.

Canelo could be in decline, but Ryder looks like somebody hit him with the car.

Ryder wasn’t being disrespectful. If anything, his statements reflect enormous humility and respect for Canelo. He acknowledges that he got beat soundly by someone he considers to be a diminished version of Canelo, which is saying just how great he thinks Canelo is at his best.

Benavidez would be such a better fight they are both suited to each other Bivol will be another UD/MJ borefest.

Bivol will just stay out of range and pick him off again.
Both present problems, even if Bivol wins, Canelo lost to the bigger man and walks away intact both physically and career wise. A fight with Benavidez can go either way, David lays on the ropes and that plays right into Canelo's strength but David is long, he's skilled does damage. Win or lose Canelo will suffer incomming just like everyone that's ever stepped in the ring with David. David Benavidez is a huge risk.
