He beat Canelo twice, the first and second fights were robberies, and Danny Jacobs was elite when he fought GGG. He was coming off four straight stoppage wins over Caleb Truax, Sergio Mora, Peter Quillin, and Sergio Mora again and was on a 12 fight KO win streak overall.
Say what you want, but if Canelo’s and Golvkin’s ages were inverted, oh boy…

Canelo vacated his WBC middleweight title when ordered to fight a prime GGG for a reason.
Prime Canelo could not get a legit win over a faded, late 30s version of GGG in 2 attempts.
Prime for prime, Golovkin was clearly a better fighter than Canelo, by a long way.Comment

Canelo lost to 35 and 36 old GGG when he was in his prime.
32 old GGG would murder 40 old Canelo, lol.
No hate, but Canelo looks a little washed up already. I think he has maybe 3 elite fights left.Comment

Canelo has been a pro boxer since 15, at 36 that would be 21 years. Canelo has also been fighting high caliber fighters since early 20s.
When GGG’s first top 10 fighter, Proksa in his 30s.
Terrible comparison. You are all looking like straight up fools right now. Canelo can retire right now at 32 and still have a much better career than an old ass 40 year old GGG.Comment

And Clenelo's Judges under payment and PED's and all kinds of stipulations are there to be look at too.
You know it's true. Even after the Canelo fights GGG kept fighting easyazz no hopes and ducked Charlo and Andrade, nor did he move up to fight any of the SMW champs, or even LHW. GGG played it safe his whole career just like Crawford.
GGG's resume is there for anyone to look at...
