I wish Calzaghe didn't quit.

And Dawson would of been interesting for sure.

I still don't understand why Calzaghe retired. Just like I don't understand why Floyd retired. It seems like every time one of these great fighters leave, options open up, and it gets the fans thinking about possible fights for that fighter.
That fight was pretty bad...I've only been able to watch it twice...

I'm a Bernard fan so of course I'd watch but the first one was a clinchfest...

And Joe and Floyd both cherish that 0...we kind of expected Floyd to return but I don't think Joe will be back...

He should have fought Dawson then retired, well I'm a calzaghe fan and I personally like to watch him fight. I wish he kept fighting because Idk, I hate when a fighter retires that I like to watch.

He lefft on top, on his own terms. If he would have beaten Dawson they would have just called him Lacy Jr. Then you'll have a bunch of names being brought up next for him to fight...Like the winner of of the SMW tour, winner of Jones vs Hopkins...I'm far from a Calzaghe fan but he left with some decent wins and he left on top.

what has kessler done since his loss to deserve a rematch?
only compelling fight would be vs adamek for cruiserweight title, which i think joe would win and should do
          COME BACK JOE!
joe, wladimir and vitali are my fighters who i am sure will always win before their fights start, i know i can sit back and know my guy will win. gonna miss him now hes gone

Dawson lacy jr? Dawson has a win over Johnson, and Adamek(the cruiserweight champion of the world). If anyone called dawson lacy jr, they must smoke crack and not know **** about this sport since Lacys resume is poop compared to Dawsons.

Well I am pretty sure he has beat three people after fighting Joe, and he currently is in the smw tournament which should be exciting. Boxers have been beat in fights and rematched that opponent in later years? I am not even a Kessler fan, and those fighters who i brought up were in no particular order. I was just thinking about possible match ups.

Well you know how Boxingscene is. I'm a Dawson fan and I think that as far as amount of names go...Dawson=Calzaghe. They're equal, but Calzaghe eats him up in that 20 title defenses at SMW. Dawson is 26-27 has already fought more threats than Calzaghe had fought by 26-27.

36 years old, 25 years fighting, smashed up hands since age 14, the desire to get out of the game while remaining healthy, earned enough to keep his family comfortable. There are loads of reasons.

Calzaghe in the super 6 would have been awesome. I would have bet on him to win in every fight.

I still think he had a couple more fights in him.
