He's a little prima donna, and he got exposed. Him and his family, hypocrites.

Many greats have lost and came back to achieve success. Was Joe Louis written off after the first Schmeling fight? Being undefeated is nice, but it really isn't all that crucial. Garcia has talent. It's up to him to work hard to improve and see how far his talent can take him.
I like this comment because it's true, I respect a fighter more with losses but fought the best rather than those sly ones who either fight old guys and never those truly at their peak.
guys like Muhammed Ali fought monsters that were at their peak and he took losses but guys like Floyd were sly dogs.

So what else is new? F-Yes he quit. Gervonta "Tank' Davis had broken both his spirit and will by then. He realized that Davis was just too good and King Ry had run out of ideas on how to defeat him.

nah ryan just got bored in there, he was off social media for at least an hour and was getting anxious

“This is the super fight of the year,” said Garcia. “Boxing needs to return to the best fighting the best, and I’m bringing back that hype, that glamor, and a new generation of fans to this beautiful sport. Tank is shorter than me, slower than me, older than me, and he knows it. He’s been ducking me for months, but now he’s all out of excuses. It’s time for him to get knocked out.” cryin

This article aged very well i think
Five-time, three-division world champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis takes on hard-hitting “King” Ryan Garcia in a highly anticipated 12-round showdown headlining a pay-per-view event on Saturday, April 22 in a Premier Boxing Champions event from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Cryan Quitcia needs to go after the top dogs at 140 to repair his reputation. It's not looking good right now

The only ascent he seems to make, is from the canvas. Just not on time.

Barry McGuigan said he didn't quit & I would've thought Barry, in his capacity as a former British, Commonwealth, European & World champion knows a bit more than Eddie Hearn in his capacity as a bit of a 'anagram of the last Danish king of England' who was set up as a promoter by his dad & got one thing (Froch v Groves 2) spectacularly right.

IDK if Ryan could've got up & I'm not that interested. To me, he quit when he, as he admitted, 'got bored' & went off the game plan. Everyone knows how a fight can be physically very demanding but it can also be mentally incredibly demanding. A strategic boxing match can be like chess except that one wrong move in chess don't get you sparked out (at least not usually, I guess it depends who you play). When people say Gervonta has a high ring IQ partly that means he has the ability to concentrate & mentally hold that concentration for 12 x 3 minute rounds. Ryan didn't have that ability to hold his concentration & just be completely 'on point' for 2160 seconds.
