Good money but I don't see AJ accepting only 30 mil in Saudi.

Hes already made more than that before. Champion or not, him v Wilder is HUGE and this thing in Saudi is meant to be groundbreaking, so there should be serious money involved, so I can't see the 30 mil for AJ being accepted. It's still serious money but seems low under the circumstances.

Simon Jordan's rumours indicates there's 200m being put up in purses. Eddie Hearn said the other week Saudi would need to put up around 400m to get everyone on board. So id imagine AJ would be looking at two or three times more than his reported purse.

As far as I know the westernization of Saudi is the real investment. I don't think the kingdom cares if each individual venture turns a profit, it's more a soft war deal to make their people more accepting of western culture and therefor more willing to adopt aspect of that culture which allows for closer ties and business deals with the western world.

Or to say that differently, WWE and boxing events are much better PR for the nation than public decapitations.

Maybe Not a profit but it still needs to make financial sense and maximise revenue they are not as ****** as people think. Ronaldo sells millions of shirt they gain millions back from that and what his image brings. Boxing they'll still want to generate as much back as they can. People make out like they don't care about money at all are dumb if that was the case and their sole intention is to get all the attention on them they would have gave aj usyk 2 tv rights away for free, for UK alone saudi sold the tv rights to Sky for 28 million.
