  • Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez: I Think I'm Better Than Bivol; First 5 Rounds, 6 Rounds, I'm Dominating The Fight

Almost a year after Dmitry Bivol beat him, Canelo Alvarez still doesn't believe that the undefeated WBA light heavyweight champion is better than him. Alvarez explained during a virtual interview session Thursday that he has pushed hard for a rematch with Bivol because

Canelo was winning the first few rds easily. You can see Bivol respected him too much early on.

though the females here who love to change the narrative as Time goes by will make you think canelo won only 1 rd then in a few month it will become 12-0 for bivol with a Knockdown included. Lol

This foo is trippin. Damn near everyone whos not a fanboy saw Bivol DOMINATE. 9-3 is what I scored it. Cmon CONelo, let Bivol get the rematch at 168. He'll DEFINITELY fight Benavidez

''I think I’m better than him,” Alvarez told a small group of reporters. “That’s it. If you see the first five rounds, six rounds, I’m dominating the fight.''

Maybe I have to rewatch as I have zero recollection of this happening?

Cinnabon did good first half of their fight thats is true but he cant say hes better than bivol cause at end of the day the russian won more rounds so in order to claim that hes in fact better he would need to prove it. His problem now is that Bivol doesnt want to put his 175 belt on the line this time buts all of canelo along with the undisputed status. If they unable to reach deal canelo will look at Benavidez instead. Thats the good part.

Ur nuts bro. I respect canelos body of work and his desire to take challenges but in no way did he win more than 2 or 3 rounds if that. I like that he won’t accept the loss cause that’s what champions do they don’t accept losing but he’s borderline delusional with this claim. He didn’t dominate 30 seconds of that fight lol

A fight is 12 rounds and in my book you lost 8 of them. If that is the mentality going into a rematch then it ends the same. Not a lesson earned.

Tainted beef has seeped into this bro’s head. Imagine the denial and projection to come when he rapidly declines and becomes a punching bag. We are about 18 months away from that

8-3 Bivol with one swing round was how I remember scoring that fight. And that was being generous to Canelo.

The rematch is pointless. Bivol has Canelo's number. Nothing changes.

You never know, Canelo might bring some new judges.
