Come on, bro. You said yourself that you don't count Morrell holding that WBA belt. Who did he beat to win it? Instead of "politics", I should have said "blatantly corrupt politics."
I have to laugh, is politics when serves your narrative. Almost all the rankings are politics, 95% of all those fighters you mentioned, are ranked because politics. But you we're the one that brought up "ranking". I show you that he wasn't frogleaping. Instead of acknowledging your error, you turn around and say is politics. You shouldn't mention rankings. Be safe.

I don't count the belt, but he's his mandatory. You the one that brought that up, and you know what's up, who else is more deserving to fight benavidez? And who they have beat? You know very well that Morrell Jr has been matched tough from the get go. They're no fighters at the division, past or present that in 9 fights has fought the kind of opposition this young man has faced. Please be honest and tell me who he could possibly fight, to deserve at shot at benavidez? And if the boxer you mention would be willing to risk his position to fight the Cuban? By now, it's pointless to go back and ask who he has fought, he is in this position right now and benavidez has to decide what to do. You and I has no bearing in this. Win, lose or draw. This is a good fight.Comment

Ok, I'll respect the sanctioning body's (WBA) ranking, though I don't necessarily agree with it. I oppose the fight, because I feel it's as much a step back for Benavidez as it is a leapfrog for Morrell. But as I said before, if David B is for it, let's go! I'm curious to see if Morrell is the truth. I don't think he's quite ready for Benavidez.

My opinion and other people's opinions don't mean anything. His people and he thinks he's ready, that's what counts. That's why I said he is here now, and he better be ready. Do you think andrade should be ranked at smw? Who has he fought? I think you mentioned mbilli, he has 24 fights and is undefeated, do you think he is ready? He's ranked too. To me the division is a little weak.

This forum exists so that we may express our opinions. Some fighters do respond to what fans are saying, so while It may not mean much, it means something. Andrade is a ducking bum, who's looking for a retirement check from Canelo. I've heard of Mbilli, but I haven't seen him fight. We have all of these fighters with high W/L ratios, but we don't see them fight anyone of substance if at all. In retrospect, I guess I should credit Morrell for calling out Benavidez, because I don't hear any of those other guys doing it.My opinion, your opinion, other people's opinions don't mean anything. I agreed with you 100%, about expressing our opinions, about andrade, and we should commend this kid for his willingness to challenge himself. And you know this is not the first time, he did it after his first fight with Shield, you might recall his trainer wanted to see more from him, here we are two fights later and he, Shield, is on board. Let's hope it happens because this is what the division needs, some young fighter emerging as a superstar, not another fighter trying to take the less risky fights while waiting for a retirement check.

I'm not sure why you believe this kid will be a superstar. I remember you said he's been matched tough, but I'm not so sure about that either. Maybe you feel that way because he's green as a pro, but he's had a lot of amateur fights, I believe. I mean, he seems to have talent, but let's look at his opponents, (one of whom I've heard): Falcao, ranked 96, Yerbossynuly, unranked, Henderson: 169, Fox, of whom I've heard: 81, Cazeres, Gavronsky, Allen & Valdez: unranked, Rankin: 168. I believe it's highly unlikely that he will beat Benavidez and he might in fact be moving too fast and damage his career. But hey, let's see if the kid can live up to the hype.
