Don't know who Matchroom got for Prograis. I'm guessing he will be kept busy fighting UK fighters. I thought he's interested in Ramirez, who is with TR.

Think about this…..If Prograis never participated in the 140lb world boxing series that he lost the final to Taylor, how many fights would’ve gotten? Since the Taylor fight he’s been so inactive and is 34 years old.

I know he is some boogeyman at 140 but he’s ripe for the taken to get embarrassed by any boxer who takes the sport seriously

Matchroom won a purse bid for Paro vs. Barboza, but supposedly it wasn't enough money. Ramirez and Barboza have the same manager iirc, so IDK if they'll fight each other.

People seem to be very negative on Prograis' decision, but are only looking at TR's name value. TR's 140lb stable appears very unstable.

Ryan vs Rolly.. Ryan vs Teo.. Ryan vs Taylor.. Ryan vs Ramirez sell much much better.. even Ryan vs Zepeda would do similar numbers to Prograis

Prograis just continuing his poor decision making, it never changes with this idiot.. he can’t sell 2 tickets but wants his own promotional company LOL FOH

At the end of the day these guys all just do not fight each other and do not fight much, no matter whom the promoter is. What they should do is do what Ryan and Tank did, do it on social media, get people interested, do their own promotions and cut out the middle man. It is a shame because 140 has some real dogs, a lot of talent.

The 140lbers won't be able to emulate that success because they don't have the social media presence. Garcia/Davis were pandering to a casual audience that was already tapped in to them. That's what made it PPV worthy. Plus, the "middle men" were still present: Floyd, Ellerbe, Oscar, B-Hop were a part of the promotion.

Garcia/Davis were able to break the political barriers because everyone involved was able to make an unusual amount of money. The 140lbers don't have the same earning power, and fights will never happen if they're all waiting for 7 figure purses. Greed and politics are ruining 140lb like every other division: Romero getting an undeserved title shot, Gary A. Russell thinking he's too good to fight Puello, TR recycling Pedraza and Commey over and over, Taylor/Catterall falling apart, Ramirez avoiding Prograis, Barboza rejecting purse bid terms against Paro, etc.

Prograis straight ducked all of the smoke.. and will be begging Ryan Garcia & GBP for a payday.
This might be the first I totally agree with you. Looks like he's gonna go over there and call out all the fighters on the other networks. If he wanted to unify he should've signed with TR ot PBC. Silly move bro!

Hearn's objective is to sign fighters to prevent good American fights we want ever happen. Andrade vs Charlo, Canelo vs PBC 168s and now Prograis vs Matias. Horrible Regis. Absolutely horrible!
