IS everyone ****** all of a sudden, Vargas got beaten when he came up against any strong opposition. Gift decision over winky. Cotto would do another Jennings on Vargas... Also, Cotto fought with a massive cut, knocked down clottey (first person to do it). Nobody has ever done well against Clottey, because he practically fights with his head. One loss to margarito, which has doubt cast all over it. You were probably the same people calling him p4p king a year and a half ago...

Margarito is a piece of ****. He only beat Cotto because he was a bad style matchup. P4P and career-wise Cotto is far greater than Margarito. Margarito is NOT a great win, this fool has lost a bunch of times to guys who were never all that.

mosley was at his best at 135 and 147 before he jumped to 154.

you can tell both guys were no longer at their best. still good but not what they once were.

At what weight? Because Shane is a much better fighter when he's quicker and in better condition. He's shown a lot more energy and quickness at 147.

Okay, Maybe Vargas has a little more power, and maybe a little more skill, but that doesn't mean **** if he couldn't use that in his big fights. To me Cotto has WAY more heart and knows how to use his Skills in a better way. Cotto would Knock Vargas out IMO because all Vargas is, is a MAYBE fighter. "Maybe if he would've beat DLH, MOSLEY, TITO, ETC. he would of been Great"

But that doesn't change the fact that he Lost the BIG fights where his Legacy counted. Vargas goes in the class with Zab Judah where they had all the talent in the world but couldn't be that superstar.

So COTTO above VARGAS anyday. and im not saying Vargas doesn't have skills or have talent, im saying Cotto is just a Better fighter in the Ring OVerall.

Also, close as it was, Vargas looked better vs. Winky than Cotto did vs. Shane for a few key reasons. First of all, Vargas was 21 - EXTREMELY young. Winky was 27 - the typical age of your physical prime. Cotto was 27 also when he fought Shane, but Shane was 37. That's a 10 year difference that greatly benefits Cotto, and Vargas-Winky is a 6 year difference that greatly benefits Winky.

Also, look at how they ended the fight. Vargas brought the noise in the final rounds, and Cotto was running from Mosley after having outboxed him rather easily before. Add this to the age **** that I talked about, and it just looks bad for Cotto. Then, when you consider that WINKY BEAT A YOUNGER SHANE TWICE, it becomes quite clear that Vargas beating Winky is MUCH more impressive than Cotto beating Shane.

This is what I saw many on here arguing about and I have also argued this with my friends. I think Vargas had excellent skills to go along with his HUGE heart. Cotto also has great skills, but I think Vargas got this. In a head to head matchup, I think Vargas Ko's Cotto in under 10 rds. Many of you will argue that Cotto has been a champion for a longer period of time, but he has actually been managed correctly, unlike Vargas. Cotto lost to Margarito and I think if he fought Tito, like Vargas did, he would have gotten KO quickly. Also, Cotto does not have half the heart that Vargas has.

ps. I do know there is a size differance.
