Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia's Father: Ryan Would Only Do Davis Rematch at 140 and Allowed To Rehydrate To 'Normal' Weight

A rematch between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia could be down the line for both fighters, but it will have to be free of the conditions that governed their first matchup, according to Garcia's father.

The numbers are too good for a rematch not to happen (However?)

Ryan gets knocked out at any weight. He'll never beat tank. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a moron. It wasn't even a good fight. He had one good round. Got put on his ass then was mentally defeated. Ryan will never the same again. He can make all th excuses he wants but deep down he knows he gave up. It's only a matter of time before he gets put to sleep for real.

Forget about rematch. First, your son needs to work on his defense, footwork, and get a trainer who will be the boss. Allowing your son to dictate the training is why he has not progressed to an elite level. Goosen allowed Ryan to be the boss which was a big mistake. Your son needs a no nonsense coach who doesn’t let Ryan have his way!

The biggest problem Ryan has is that he quit. This will be very difficult to fix going forward. He can beat most fighters, but not the best like Haney, or Shakur. Tank is out of the question.8

Salute to Ryan for giving the people what they wanted as the other side did everything they could to make it an unfair outcome
