Loma is a step slower than he once was. He won’t be able to get into range often enough to win a decision.

Haney by UD. I’m actually rooting for Loma but I just can’t see it.

    Haney will struggle with Loma....

Haney’s style and ring generalship has me leaning heavily toward him winning a clear decision. Round after round, he will use his ability to keep the fight at long range and force a slow pace.

The onus is on Loma to consistently close the gap and up the pace. VL’s struggle against Lopez (where he was too reluctant to do either until late) and Ortiz (where he did so inconsistently), has me thinking that he’ll respect Haney’s distance too much to win 7 decisive rounds and I don’t foresee a stoppage when he does get his way.

Haney has shown that he can be pressed into being tired and hurt in the late rounds, but he’s stronger and better conditioned now. I just don’t see Vasily hurting him much less finishing him. I have Haney by UD.

Haney doesn't have much ring generalship. JoJo had him on the ropes a lot, after all. What reason does Lomachenko have to respect Haney? He doesn't have huge power like Lopez and he doesn't throw lightning fast combos like Ortiz.

Haney isn’t flat footed at all, his feet are one of his best assets.

He’s not hard to hit if you get into range, his defence is definitely leaky but he relies on his length and his feet to stay out of range.

I don’t like reading your extraneous rambling.

That’s one of the most concise posts you’ve ever posted. Well done.

I guess we’ll see on the night. I hope I’m wrong but I think Haney wins a clear UD.

Haneys last 4 fights have been against guy standing right in front of him all night. Linares, JoJo, and Kambo x2. All guys with no footwork, just standing there eating punches and they still had success at points with JOJO and Linares landing bombs on Haney and hurting him late in their fights and people in here wanna say the kid is untouchable and a guy with the talent of Loma won't be able to put hands on him? Please stop letting the hate of Loma cloud your judgement.

Yeah, wishful thinking. One can only hope.

The WWE champion Devin Haney, will wrestle his way through 12 rounds with Lomachenko. Then he will cut a promo calling out all the other boxers he wants to wrestle and hit with his weak jabs just like a pro wrestling punch.

The issue is that refs don’t really penalize excessive holding and clinching like Haney likes to do. Lomachenko doesn’t fight dirty either, so he won’t try to stop Haney by other means (low blows, hit him at clinch breaks, basically try to stop Haney’s wrestling himself). So even if Lomachenko happens to catch Haney, it will just turn into a grappling match.

Lomachenko is 496-1 in amateurs, 17-2 in the pros, but what’s his record in wrestling? 0-0. He has to prepare for that. A heavier, taller boxer who’s coming to grab and jab. Loma is coming to box, but what’s he going to do when the bigger and taller man, starts grabbing him all over the ring, putting all his weight on him, wearing him out, scoring with weak jabs while holding Lomachenko’s arms to prevent him from throwing?

I wish nothing more than to see Lomachenko beat down Haney, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I would love to be wrong.

The odds are good. I got 11/5
Well make sure Loma brings his A game with him because if not Haney is going to pick him apart with his jab.

Most fighters look huge next to Loma , i have the upmost respect for the fact Loma fought guys who massively outweighed him come fight night , Loma was never a weight bully and fought the best but his smaller stature will allow guys like Haney to bully him using his size
