Comments Thread For: Oscar Valdez Defends Ryan Garcia: "Body Shots Paralyze You"

There's a growing sentiment that Ryan Garcia flat-out quit against Gervonta Davis. This past weekend, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Garcia and Davis squared off in front of a jam-packed crowd. Heading in, the explosive 24-year-old was convinced that he was more than capable of getting the job done. Ultimately, however, Davis proved that he was simply a level above.

If the body shot hurt that bad then why did he choose to get up at 10. He should still been down to at least 15. It's like he stood up just in time to quit. I'm still gonna support Cryan Quitcia at 140 tho!!!

This isn’t a unique anomaly exclusive to only Ryan. I can find you dozens and dozens of videos of the EXACT sequence of events; delayed reaction, down grimacing and up at 10. It’s literally everywhere! This one was most definitely delayed and legit. At the moment of the shot you can see his facial reaction and it wasn’t good. He then goes down a full 3 seconds later. Nothing new here and nothing at all unique.

How many times Floyd tore into the body of Zab Judah and he still carried on till the low blow ? How many times did Floyd blasted Maidana and he still kept going ? There is a reason why boxers train certain ways to deal with that . Cryan Garcia just quit and it shows how unprepared he was to rise to the occasion

If you are going to quit from a body shot, you should at least play it off like Oscar did for Hopkins and roll around on the ground. Ryan is a dummy, he stood up as soon as the referee counted to 10.

That's true but what about Oscar who was able to roll all over the floor while pounding on the canvas? lol

All of these fans, have never been hit with a Liver shot, so why do they have an opinion? I was a boxer and know for a fact how painful that is. Shots don’t look that happening d, but believe me when it comes from a ****er like Davis they do damage.
