It’s all about promotion. Spence and crawford could do 500k buys easy and both get the money they want but they don’t really sell fights. This fight was sold. Even my friends who never watch boxing were asking me about it and excited for it. They made it an event. Boxing just needs to make fights “events” and they’ll get the buys

I'm not even a Tank fan, but I have to defend him on this. Especially when Canelo himself said he may have to pass the torch to Tank. Tank has been selling good PPV numbers for a while now with sold-out stadiums and you really think Ryan was responsible for 80% of it, without ever being on PPV and after not fighting for a year and a half or longer? If he was responsible for 80% of the PPV buys, then why not put him on PPV years ago?

It doesn't matter, he has starpower and Tanks inflated ppvb's are ~200k (they're much lower) so effectively Ryan brought in 1M ppvb's. The kid lost, but he really won moving forward.

Canelo only did 500k against Bivol and 500k in his last fight against 3G. Throw Benavidez in there and it probably does 1 mill+.. you need a dance partner.. even Floyd did.
