I'm laughing at anyone thinking Tank was responsible for those numbers. I mean, really, cmon. Really?

Yeah it is. Canelo nor Fury have been doing that number either.

      Some observations:
      1. Floyd and Ellerbee knew what they are doing in terms of building Tank
      2. Tank and Ryan brought a lot of casual fans.
      3. The pre fight hype, while at times tasteless, worked
      4. The ESPN pre fight interviews helped massively
5.Make Spence v Crawford immediately to keep momentum
6, Tank better come out of jail all about his business because he is the next one.

Great news for boxing. I hope Tank builds on this and continues to take big fights. I'm not sure he cares about building a brand as much as Mayweather did though.

Ryan has never fought on PPV. The live crowd was pro Tank.

Why are you so sure it wasn’t Tank?

Ryan being on PPV or not is completely irrelevant. If you got two of the biggest movie stars who never fought on PPV to face each other, it's doing big numbers. It all comes down to popularity and following. Ryan has proven that. I'm not saying Tank isn't a mega star because after this fight, his stock has definitely gone up, but I just believe for the fight we just watched, Tank-Garcia, that Garcia was the star power that brought in the big numbers.

He just needs to continue fighting guys like Garcia, young prime top guys.

Guys in the top 5-10 at the very least.

I call them the Self Hate Boyz. If only they could convert the hate they have to love for the sport. Every event that does well is better for the ENTIRE sport.

I say, if you can’t give credit to a 5’5” poor kid from Baltimore, then you can never love ya self.

This fight got a lot of hype because of them both. Ryan has a huge social media presence yes.

Tank has proven he can full arenas and sell ppvs with no names.

Ryan definitely brought more than all the other guys.

I just think the fight was the selling point as much as the individual boxers.

Imo I would fight Loma if as I expect, he loses to Haney. Not so sure Arum does that.

Then maybe the GRJ fight in Maryland (cash grab set up) then the Haney v Shakur winner. I expect that to be Shakur.
