Just because a bunch of blacks like him, doesn't mean he's the best boxer. Ryan was not a skilled opponent. You see that chin high swing miss? Loma does that every fight, in much closer than Tank got. Tank avoided the truly skilled opponents. Loma just ain't black and he ain't American. Neither of which means Tank is the ****. -
Haney will never be the #1 pound for pound fighter in boxing, because he doesn't have any punching power.
Boxing ability can only take you so far, because when your boxing ability can't get the job done, that's when power comes into play.
You have to be a well rounded fighter in all aspect in order to reach that lofty #1 pound for pound spot.

Last Saturday night a star was born and his name is Gervonta Davis. Just check out his box office receipts at the live gate and the Pay per view numbers.
Tank has proven that he doesn't have to fight either Loma, Shakur or Haney. He is already a box office draw among casual fans but Inoue and Usyk are not. You might as well face it. The man put meat in the seats.
Those guys you've mentioned need to build up their brands before Davis even so much as to entertain the thought of fighting either of them.Leave a comment:

Not sure Fulton or Fury would deserve as much credit, being the bigger men with worse resumes. Same honestly could be said of Spence, which is why he never gets ranked above Crawford on any P4P list despite owning more belts at their shared division. Not sure about how Bivol's resume really stacks up either, TBH.
Haney's the bigger guy in this matchup too, with all the physical advantages, so it's going to be hard for him to get credit. Loma, Tank, and Shakur would make a strong case for him though. These guys don't seem to understand that winning when you're supposed to win doesn't mean as much as winning when you're not supposed to.Leave a comment:

If Haney beats Loma, Shakur and Tank at 135, I think he makes a great case for (assuming rumored fights happen) being a top 4 or 5 p4p boxer behind:
Spence/Crawford winner
Fury/Usyk winner
Inoue/Fulton winner
Canelo/Bivol 2 winner.Leave a comment:

Whose Tank beat? Chin high in theyre first step up big profile fight.
He's either got to move up & fight everybody or keep sucking down to 135 & beat not only loma but Tank & Stevenson.
Even then he won't be as good as Usyk or Inoue.Leave a comment:

Once Haney moves up to 140 and fights a live dog it’s a wrap for him. He can get away with the weight, reach and height advantages at 135 but when he moves up….he’s going to get stopped. That won’t happen because if he beats Loma look for him to defend his title against Richard Commey next while he waits for a vacant 140lb belts against a no hoper.Leave a comment:

If Haney beats Loma then its a far better win than Tank beating a YT/IG influencer in Ryan Garcia and thats a fact but I doubt Tank would fight Haney, unless Haney would have a contractual rehydration weight clause too. lolLeave a comment:

If Haney wants to be regarded as the best P4P fighter of his era then he must fight and defeat Gervonta Davis.Leave a comment:

Not many people like Haney, there are many reasons. He isn't exciting and explosiveness or a knockout artlist like the other 135lbers. However, he is a great technical boxer... and I like him the most out of the top dogs in the Lightweight division.
I'd say majority of the casuals don't like Haney, too bad though, he holds all the belts at 135lb.Leave a comment:
