When everyone thought he was lining up Whyte for the summer, ahead of a bigger fight at the end of the year, no-one was happy.
Then when the rumours were that he was lining up only a big money fight for the end of the year against a big name fighter like Fury or Wilder, and Whyte in the summer was out the window, no one was happy.
Now when is saying maybe he'll decide to fight in the summer if things proceed well with his new trainer, no one is happy.

If he does fight Wilder in December, for two fights in a year, that sounds all right to me.

He could fly down to Texas or whatever gym James works out of to start preparation for a summer fight. This dude is so soft. It's a matter of time before someone knocks him out.
Lol a boxing forum poster calling a professional prize fighter soft

For Joshua, he puts this out there, so that when he loses again, he has someone already to blame.

For James, it won't much matter, as long as he strings this out and keeps cashing those checks.

James is about to bring Joshua up to beast mode, and everyone will stop yapping about his confidence or being soft. I never was a big fan, but reading loads of the rubbish on this site, has made me root for his progression and success.

As someone else has pointed out. AJ looked better under Garcia's wing when he faced a great boxer in Usyk. AJ regressed so bad under James that AJ struggled against gatekeeper Franklin.

He sacked Garcia for pointing out the flaws they could work on after losing but he'll be a little fleshlight for James after he struggled against a gatekeeper. There's no rubbish, just accurate observations.

He didn't struggle at all against Franklin, as a matter of fact he won almost every round, Franklin won 2 at the most. Joshua's defense and punch selections were much better in this fight than when under Garcia. His only problem was that he wasn't committed to sitting down on his shots for the KO. He was hitting Franklin consistently with the right hand and the jab. Now that the foundation is set, he and James can concentrate on committing to those punches and changing speeds.

Also, Garcia didn't get fired for pointing out his flaws, he was fired for breaking the trust of a trainer and his fighter by unloading sensitive information and criticism publicly to media outlets and anyone else listening that could be used however they chose with no regard for Joshua.

He did struggle. Struggling doesn't mean it was a close fight.

His punch selection was poor. He kept throwing the 2 same punches over and over again. The fact that he didn't sit down on his punches and was too afraid to go for the KO shows how much he regressed.

How is struggling and being timid for 12 rounds against a gatekeeper an improvement over going for the KO in the 9th round against Usyk?

Garcia didn't say anything that wasn't true or unknown. You must be soft like AJ if you think anything Garcia said was out of line. The obvious difference is Garcia wasn't a yes man.
