Of course. Haney dropped three or four rounds to the inconsistent pressure of JoJo Diaz. Got hit really cleanly over and over. He cuts so much weight that his stamina and power aren't great. How often do you see him throw more than a punch or two at a time? A single jab won't keep Lomachenko off.

And after he loses, everyone in this thread will say he was washed up. It’s funny how that works.

I'll say it now. He's clearly not where he was 3-4 years ago. He can't get going till the second half of fights lately and he gets hit more than ever. He's on the back 9 of his career. This is the right time for Haney to fight him. That said, I still think Loma is gonna be a problem for Haney and could pull off the win if he gets going early and often.

JoJo Diaz gave Devin problems when he upped the work rate and kept the fight close but just couldn't keep the pace. I think Loma can use the same tactic but more effective because of his higher work rate and better angles.

The problem with this is it reads like Haney waited to make the fight until he had the best chance to win.

There was a window for them to fight earlier. Haney was never an easy fight like Crolla. He was high risk, low reward. So Arum did what was necessary to make sure it didnt happen.

Loma could win. If he does its because he is a great boxer.

If he doesn’t it will be because Haney, for all the hate he gets, is a highly skilled , athletic boxer that is tough for anyone to deal with.

I think if Loma has anything left in the tank, it's gonna be a tough fight for Haney, not a walk in the park like some here seem to think. I'm gonna roll with Haney by decision because Loma hasn't been getting off till the second half of fights lately but if he comes out firing early I think Loma could win it.
If loma is somehow 85-90% he can beat Haney.. it he’s 70% of his old self he’s losing

Yeah if he has early success, particularly if he hurts Haney or stuns him early, Haney will have to show something special to win the fight IMO.

Can say the same thing about Haney fans pointing that out as an "excuse" to dismiss any fair criticism if you believe Loma is as good as he was then you clearly didn't watch his last fight and people do tend to get older that happens.

As for the question i give Loma a shot of course but i think this is Haneys to lose.

i think loma is being written off too much, i dont think he wins but i think he puts up a good fight, if he doesnt i would be disappointed but would give haney full credit for shutting him down, i hope haney doesnt do a vlad klit on him tho and would expect him to get some stick like vlad did hoho
