Pacquiao is already ATG, he doesn't need Mayweather. After Cotto he can fight Marquez for a third time and retire. Mayweather needs to cement his legacy with a win over a true WW: Mosley or Cotto, or both, not Berto.

Lazcano is a pretty decent puncher, that's why.

BTW, he almost got KO'd against Collazo. That's one reason why Floyd took up the offer to fight him.

Did you think Hatton looked fantastic against Lazcano?

Collazo is a legit WW and it was Hattons first fight @ 147. He still won the fight.

He looked like complete crap vs Lazcano. Mayweather laid the blueprint on how to beat Hatton. Lazcano and Pacquiao both used the hooks as Hatton was coming in.

Because many fighters have cleaned out their 4th or 5th weight class?

Might as well, because a fight with him and Floyd wont happen, plus I think Roach might now realize Floyd will probably beat Manny.

no, he was nervous, and just came off his first loss. Thats the point of a tune up, to bring the fighters confidence up.

If Mayweather retires without fighting Pac then he is ducking him. This fight needs to happen to get this board back to Normal....lol
Is that really ducking? This is really not his divsion. He is just jumping in to fight Cotto which was hand picked by Roach for some reason but Pac is not to trying to be champion in WW division. This is like Roy Jones jumping up to fight Ruiz. Was he ducking Klitschko? I wouldn't exactly call it ducking if you have to move up to fight someone. Now if he becomes champion in that division and does not fight Floyd and continues to fight as a WW then maybe.

bottom line....roach is just talking, it doesn't really matter what he says.

no way in hell pacman retires if he beats cotto.

since when did roach have any influence whatsoever, when it came to pacman's negotiations. freddie needs to shut up and develop the game plan for cotto, so this fight can become a reality. it happens whether roach or the floyd haters like it or not. the only person that can change it is miguel cotto, and i just don't see it.
