And I don't consider anyone a "champion" at all unless they win the lineal/TBRB/Ring championship.
World champion = there's only one per weight class
World titlist = the top titlists from the WBA, WBC, IBF, or WBO (one each, maximum)
A title claimant = someone with a fake ass belt like a Regular, IBO, or Interim title
well the second wba belt he won at 130 was laughable. remember alberto machado was the super champ after a great win over corrales but they somehow demoted machado when tank ducked him and made tank the champ for beating a 126 pound fighter in cuellar. i wonder why tank wouldnt fight machado? oh he was in the top 5. where was cuellar? unranked.

I agree, it was shameful what the WBA did there. But he did win the IBF belt off Pedraza and the WBA Super belt off Santa Cruz at that weight (even though Santa Cruz was not ranked in that division and won the vacant belt in his only other fight at the weight against another unranked fighter).

I don't like how he did it but technically he's a 3X world super featherweight titlist. His other titles are sad jokes, though. As is his tendency of picking former titlists off well outside their natural weight and/or well past their primes (Cristobal Cruz, Hugo Ruiz, Hector Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz, Yuriorkis Gamboa).

how is tank one of the best guys if hes never beaten a top guy. why wont you answer that? would that fly in any other sport? your claim: so and so is one of the best tennis players in the world. has he ever beaten any of the other best players? well no but he beat some lower ranked players and won some minor league tournaments! makes no sense. please apply these logical and rational ways of ranking people just like you would in any other sport, if you do that you will find tank is still in the unproven stage.

basically what you are saying is that i should just shut my brain off and not care that tank is fighting bums. i mean i dont care since i dont watch but it still is worthy of criticism since it drags the sport down as a whole

It easy to answer he fights you watch, he does things only the best guys do, its not hard when you been watching the sport for a long time, you are too caught up in your own BS to enjoy boxing as a whole, did you shut your brain of when Manny was fighting bums, no to lapped it up and threw confetti everywhere, you don't like Davis and so will try and tear down anything he does, and then you will blow sunshine towards your guy that does the same stuff, there is truth in the saying haters have got to hate.

the best guys beat top 5 fighters. tank skipped that part so how is he one of the best? thats my question.

how are you comparing manny pacquiaos opposition to tanks? manny literally fought more than 20 top 5 fighters during his career, winning most. tank has fought 0. you are saying they are doing the same stuff...they arent. thats where the disconnect comes from. im tearing tank down cause he wont fight anyone good, you are making ridiculous false equivalencies saying manny fought bums cept the evidence says different my friend. manny fought some bums but tank fights all bums! dont you see that? if tank had 20 top 5 wins on his resume i wouldnt be saying he is fighting bums now would i?

He's a 1x champion at 130lbs from when he beat Pedraza. While I'm sure he would have knocked Cancio out had they ever fought, Cancio was the WBA champion and no respectable news organization should recognize WBA stealing the title from one fighter and putting up for grabs between two Featherweights.

Manny has some opponents on the same level as Tanks, Manny got Koed by a guy Davis would blow out, that's why I say you cant judge until the end, if you would answer questions things wouldn't need to be repeated, what if Davis won 140 147 154 160, then how would his current titles be then, probably like Mannys 154 title, paper titles but not the whole picture or a ceiling, Davis got a lot more belts to pick up before he finish, the 135 guys are only just now starting to duke it out, the era is only early.

Of course he's not a 3 division champion... why is this even a question in a boxing forum?

nothing to do with his "Belts" it was Mayweather promoting him and telling the world about him and calling him the next Star but then also Tank for doing his part in the ring by getting KNOCKOUTS and not boring decisions which is what Casuals really like

without "Casual Idiots" you don't become a SUPERSTAR because unlike some of Old Miserable Hardcores, Casuals still understand that this sport is about Entertainment too it is not about pushing Agendas and making things personal
