    He's a one division champ.

Calling him anything else is degrading the sport even further.

The irony is that he demanded a catch weight and rehydration clause for Garcia....but Tank lost his 130 pound title on the scales!

how are you comparing manny pacquiaos opposition to tanks? manny literally fought more than 20 top 5 fighters during his career, winning most. tank has fought 0. you are saying they are doing the same stuff...they arent. thats where the disconnect comes from. im tearing tank down cause he wont fight anyone good, you are making ridiculous false equivalencies saying manny fought bums cept the evidence says different my friend. manny fought some bums but tank fights all bums! dont you see that? if tank had 20 top 5 wins on his resume i wouldnt be saying he is fighting bums now would i?
Tanks whole resume is a bunch of Chris Algieri level guys right now. Decent guys but nobody who is going to be remembered as a great fighter.

tank is an excellent 1 division champion. he is very skilled and he could have already become hof fighter if management wasn't this dumb nowadays. everything was great up until his first defense. title winning fight vs. undefeated pedraza and his first mandatory defense vs. undefeated prime opponent when tank was young were a great start. i totally respected him at that point. but after that he failed to make weight, fought undeserving overmatched, smaller (moved up specifically to fight him and make him look good) or old boxers. hector garcia was a fine champion (two good wins at his weight) when he moved up for their fight, barrios was an ok top10 boxer to test the waters and ryan garcia was a good contender. i am ok with those fights. the other ones were trash.
davis could have easily fought for 3 lineal titles. at 130 he was top2 with berchelt, at 135 he could have fought kambosos or haney and at 140 he was wba mandatory for undisputed/lineal taylor (though taylor would probably have to vacate wbo). with only those 3 fights davis could now be p4p number 1 with a hof resume. but nooooo. let him fight some totally irrelevant guys instead. i hate boxing matchmaking.

            this.

I don’t understand how this thread even sparked a debate… the truth is the truth, he’s a one division champion.

People are either delusional and/or huge fanboys to consider him a 3 division champion.

If there’s a fighter I’m a huge fan of and they have a regular belt, I would never consider them a champion.

Yeah its all a marketing scheme for casuals. Dame thing as the silly boxing analytics.

Diehards get this. No knowledgeable boxing fan considers Tank titles the same as a Floyd or an ODH.

This right here. If Tank was Northern European daggum would be fine with his resume and titles.

This is a dude that only criticizes certain fighters. He is critical of Tanks cw here but was fine with Manny beating Cotto at 146 and Margs at 151 for WW and JMW titles.

Hes a joke as a poster.
