You didn't "give" him too much respect, he "earned" your respect in the 2nd Round! This is why you should've fought Gesta first! Hindsight is 20/20!

You are right. Yes, I do remember that and he was writhing in excruciating pain on the canvas from that body shot in the very first round and yet he got up to nearly stop Amir Khan in the 10th round of that fight, if it had not been for referee Joe Cortez. He had Khan in all types of trouble in round 10.

So whatever Ryan is selling I am not buying. Also, by the way where was Oscar and Bernard last night after the fight? They were both con****uously absent at the post fight press conference after talking all that shit to the build up to the fight; Especially Bernard Hopkins I bet you they both shit their pants once Ryan tapped out of that fight!

          Davis has rocks in hands

Mexican Boxing: skills, heart, discipline, stamina, power, pride, magic, feats and humility. Do you remember when Oscar said "To tell you the truth. African Americans don't have any heart. They can't take it to the body and they give up every time; No African American take my punch".

So I ask you as a Mexican American; Does Ryan Garcia have any heart and can take it to the body? If so, then what happened to him against Tank Davis; if Mexican Boxing epitomizes all the things you described above?

The class and skill gulf was way too wide. No amount of tune-up would have saved Ryan from that beatdown. I could only realistically give him maybe two rounds tops. He's just not skilled enough, especially with his current style. The two barely threw 200 punches combined across 7 rounds. That second round, which would have been Ryan's best round of the fight if he hadn't gotten knocked down, Tank only landed 4 punches. Chocolatito throws more power punches in two rounds than either of these guys do in a whole fight.

Nobody punches like Tank though! Maybe Boots Ennis!

Thats easy dude, Ryan garcia aint mexican at all ,kid doesnt even speak spanish he doesn't box like one either , he simply doesnt have that dog/heart/gut in him but in his defense, it doesnt matter if you are black, white, brown ,yellow or purple ,if you get hit with a hard liver shot like that ,you going down! Only a few get up from that to be completely honest.

Also tanks counter puncher abilities deserve credit as we could see in both knockdowns.

Now that I think about it, this fight came back to haunt Oscar in a real way cause he was the one who said leading up to the Whitaker fight that black guys can't take it to the body. Karma is a b1tch.

Ryan quit - he tried to start standing at 9 so he would get counted out. Boxers who want to continue wait until 8
