Yes, he'd be competitive in any era. And dominating in most of them if not in all.

And we're supposed to believe that Vitali -- the highly educated Sports Science Doctor, experienced international boxer and kickboxer -- went to a doctor who gave him painkillers that had steroids in them and Vitali "didn't check the doping list" to see if they were banned substances and the doctor didn't tell the athlete or his coaches what they had in them.
Tracker was desperate to make the Olympic team, he was injured, he took drugs to speed his recovery, he thought they'd be out of his system by the time he got tested, and he got caught. Everybody who gets caught claims they didn't know what they were taking. But very few have a PhD in Sports Medicine.
He's either lying or he's a moron who should've had his degree taken away.
Now, the 40-year-old athlete, who was broken down with all sorts of injuries as at 20- and 30-year-old, is fit as a fiddle, performing at his very best and never gets hurt. Vitali Klitschko meet Roger Clemens.
I still think Vitali would hold his own with fighters from the past. I just don't think he'd still be fighting at this age. He'd have retired with injuries by his early 30s.

Vitali would be competitive in any era imo.
His combination of size and skillset would cause alot of past great heavyweight's problems.

Absolutely.
Vitali Klitschko would be amonst of the top HW's in any era IMO.
Only era I think he might not be is the 70's.
Any other era he'd be up there with the very top guys IMO.

Vitali Klitschko excels in any era. I don't see why there's any question. A fighter who's never lost 3 rds in a bout competes against anyone no matter the birth certificate. A fighter who's 6 ft 8 .. 250 lbs with fighting skills like him is never a dime a dozen. Vitali has got the skills of a Joe Calzaghe with the power of A George Foreman.. needless to say that we've never seen this before & never will.

Guys his age simply don't improve physically, ask any number of other fighters or athletes in general and they will tell you this is the truth. So...between the steroids and weak comp V has been able to still prosper.
Btw... if Vitali was pill popping.. don't you think his record would read 46-0 instead of 44-2... afterall according to you.. what he's been taken is supposed to thwart off physical injuries.. we all know Vitali is undefated if he's NOT injured & or taking supplements... right!Last edited by jimmy1569; 06-28-2012, 10:20 PM.

Vitali beats any heavyweight in history. Most likely by K.o. The history section dorks are going to have to live with that.

Throw him in with Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Holmes, and all those ridiculous heavyweights in the 70's and Vitali is no where near as close to the domination he has now.
