Brewster didn’t want the immediate rematch , Klitchko was set to face Valuev and unify but he lost to Ruslan Chaegav so the next logical fight was Brewster . He was out of the ring 13 months in the first fight and was getting battered until he lucked out against a Klitchko that spent himself .Comment

The next logical fight because Brewster had a detached retina. He was in hospital for 6 months with extreme pain and word of that got back to Wladimir. That's why he chose to fight him at that particular time. It was no coincidence, he timed it to catch Brewster at a very low point in his life and career.Comment

During medical examination, Wladimir and Lamon had their temperature and blood pressure checked, while the doctor checked for any visual symptoms. Both Wladimir and Lamon were cleared to fight.”

Brewster couldn't train properly because he'd been recovering from the eye injury for such a long time. He couldn't even do a light work out for half a year. Remember he needed 3 surgeries in that year of inactivity leading up to the Klitschko fight. That's precisely the reason why Klitschko wanted to fight him at that particular time. Brewster was at a very low point in his career and life, and in poor condition for a pro fight. It's not even a debatable issue, when viewing it objectively.Comment
