Comments Thread For: Shields On Gabriels Rematch: I Don't Want A Unanimous Decision This Time, I Want The Knockout

Claressa Shields will enter the ring for the second straight time with unfinished business as a promotional theme. A rematch with Hanna Gabriels has been nearly five years in the making for the reigning undisputed middleweight champion, who suffered her lone career knockdown in their first meeting. Shields was floored in the opening round of an eventual June 2018 unanimous decision win over Costa Rica's Gabriels to become a two-division title claimant.

She's delusional. Or on pills. She'll win a UD, but she's not knocking anyone out, especially someone who walks around as heavy as Gabriels. If she's not careful early, she may get dropped again.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but Hanna is now 40 years old. 5 years ago, what you're saying would have been true... but not anymore. Although Claressa doesn't have much pop, she should definitely get the stoppage this time.

Um, there’s plenty of men that can get in the ring and take her.

There’s a reason why transexuals can dominate in women’s sports.

Sometimes Claressa feels herself too much. She should just stay in her lane and enjoy being one of the best women boxers in the world, without trying to act like she is on the same level as the men.

Claressa always promises KOs but rarely delivers. If you let the opponent get old enough, then maybe.

Wasn't she on some game show that had some type of ultimate ninja course and she got obliterated? Anyways, every fight she promises a knockout and she never delivers, get some new material.

The self proclaimed womens GOAT hasn’t knocked any opponent out in 5 years. How can she call herself GOAT when she can’t crack Jell-O? For all the trash talk from this b*tch, who has no respect for her opponents, give me a ***** break. Ann Wolfe, Lucia Rijker, or Laila Ali, and Christy Martin would have put this b*tch to sleep easily .Pillow fists is a disgrace to womens boxing. Showtime realized this, had enough of her BS and dumped her!

Highly, highly doubtful. Gabriels is actually bigger, stronger and more durable than Marshall. Shields never had Marshall in trouble once, despite cracking her with right hands repeatedly.

Well, I'm TOAA and not even I can crack Jell-O. Concur with your general point though.

I like John David but I still don't see Shields relaxing and punching very sharp with snap with blinding speed and once or if she develops that then knockouts will come, but all that loading up and acting as if you about to kill something don't work. Speed creates power
