You know who else was good in the prime of their career, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan, you wouldn't wanna see them on the basketball court today, would you??? I've heard some people on this thread saying Bernard Hopkins is boring. I thought Roy's fight with Calzaghe and rubbermatch with Tarver were the worst fights I had witnessed in history. Hopkins fights to win when he is up against elite comp. Roy fights to survive when he is presented with those type of opponents. And when Roy Jones blamed his dad for the loss in the third Tarver fight, I made up my mind to never buy any more of Roy's fights on PPV. And I haven't since.

Yes i did, he beat Pavlik fair and square, but that doesnt mean he's exciting. Bhop has always been a boring fighter... its just now hes slow and so it makes it unwatchable!!! I bet AARP will be main sponsors for this fight

Hopkins is awesome but Roy is just the wrong opponont for him sadly.. Roy wins by way of pot shot victory.

Hopkins isnt really a pressure fighter or does he throw much punches, which makes it even easier on Roy. Hopkins is a counter puncher, which isnt very helpful when a guy like Roy has much faster hands and movement.

If the fight stays in the centre of the ring its likely a shutout for Jones, if Hopkins can pressure him a bit and rough him up on the ropes it will be closes, still saying UD Jones.

roy jones and b-hop are legends of the sport. while the matchup is interesting, it's way to late in their careers.
