Don't act like you have proof that Bernard planned all along to take on Jones Jr. above a more credible fight like the Dawson/Johnson winner. This long awaited rematch flew out the window after Joe nearly shut out Roy.

so now its roy jones fault that roy jones made a fight, using a radio no less, by calling hopkins out to make a 60 to the winner, 40 to the loser or winner take all with hopkins, who punks out for the SECOND TIME on a national format mind you (60-40 I'll kick yo ass on HBO years ago)....

now its STILL jones fault years later that the public STILL wants to see hopkins fight jones in a rematch instead of dawson and adamek?....

    that roy jones is a f**king genius...lol

chill out dude...the fight is done...get over it...

FAULT? I thought your argument was that Bernard Hopkins was being a hypocrite? Make up your mind. You haven't made any sense to me yet. This FAULT argument is equally irrelevant as it was never what we were talking about to begin with. And again this fight is not even a talking point if it weren't for how the radio interview ended. I'll get to that in a sec.

Oh... and up until this KO stipulation. Jones and Hopkins could never agree on a split. Neither man was taking an outright 60/40 contract. Another dynamic that changes how you intially look at this.

And here's where we're back to a talking point. The radio interview. You see Hopkins being punked, I saw Hopkins not wanting to accept anything that wasn't 60/40 in his favor. The fans, not knowing Hopkins personality isn't aware he's done the hang up the phone thing before in another interview. That's what turned this mess into a bout.

Be excited now, it's like a grudge match. I bet money it's entertaining if not shocking once Roy puts the old man to bed...

like i said i already made my point regarding nard being a hypocrite with backup statements from nard... i'm done with that argument...

i was onto your claim that had jones not interfered in the radio program, that hopkins would have made a fight with dawson or adamek...like it was jones fault for even jumping on the radio...which i find absolutely rediculous...last i checked this is still a free country...

whether you or any of these hopkins excuse makers feels jones is relevant or not is not important, jones/hopkins II is a rivalry fight that makes hopkins more $ than dawson or adamek at this time...why you think they kept sending jones offers with 25% to goldenboy...?..because they know that s**t too...jones stated that he would take 60-40, but the contracts always included a 25% off the top stipulation to goldenboy...hopkins wasn't taking 60-40 in jones favor years ago strictly because he was an ego tripping asswipe...if hopkins was such a lock with dawson or adamek, it wouldn't be anything that jones could say or do to disrupt those negotiations, so that meant the jones fight was a viable option anyways...jones needed a little leverage to eliminate the 25% goldenboy tribute, and that radio program seemed to be the clincher....

Actually, it kinda is Roy's fault, why is Jones up Hopkins' ass? Nobody was calling Roy for an interview. Still, he could've left well enough alone after questioning Bernard on the happenings of their first fight, but then HE pushes the rematch talk not that fans are calling for it...IT ISN'T UNTIL THE ERRONEOUS ASSUMPTION THAT BERNARD IS AFRAID OF ROY THAT THIS TURNS INTO THE MAKINGS OF A FIGHT TO FANS. Do you get it now? It was the perception that he was afraid, that made this happen. Fans DIDN'T want this fight outright beforehand. Nobody gave a fk about this fight.

Bernard Hopkins put to bed the rematch talk for good when Roy couldn't even hack it against Joe. Even going to his dressing room and telling him to retire after his fight (and he was very respectful to Jones when he didn't have to be). You can look that quote up too. If he was really a hypocrite he would've went after him especially after Joe thrashed him.

Now can we stop with this nonsense please?

                  • Oh and Hopkins has done the hang up the phone thing before. He looked scared I guess. Bzzt wrong. The result? He beat the **** out of Pavlik.
